(PR)—ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – May 14, 2009 – Come see what you’ve been hearing! Resorts Atlantic City announced the opening of the Boogie Nights Rock & Pop Art Gallery to complement the casino's retro entertainment schedule and the wildly popular Boogie Nights. In addition to boasting ‘70s icons, classic rockers and ‘80s bands performing in the Superstar Theater, Resorts is enhancing that lineup using the power of art. Visitors to the Rock & Pop Art Gallery will enjoy music from the era of art displayed. Admission to the gallery is free, but all selections of prints and originals will be available for purchase.

The gallery will be located on the Dining Level at Resorts Casino Hotel. Beginning Saturday, May 30, the Rock & Pop Art Gallery will feature the art of Mark Weiss every Saturday night through June 27. Weiss, one of the leading photographers in the music industry, has worked with megastars such as Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilera, Lil Wayne, Mariah Carey, Rihanna and Justin Timberlake. But it's the retro feel that makes much of Weiss' work a perfect fit for Resorts. The public is invited to see first-hand Weiss' early works including never before seen out takes from his infamous album cover BON JOVI "Slippery When Wet" as well as celebrating the 25th anniversary of the release of Marks first album cover TWISTED SISTER "Stay Hungry" along with other early works.

From creating album covers to shooting portraits and touring the world with bands that topped the charts, he is one of the entertainment business' go-to guys for capturing that distinct look.
Mark was hired to shoot Peter Frampton at his home in the late 70s' by his publicist at the peak of Frampton’s career following up "Frampton Comes Alive" ;a portrait of Jerry Garcia on a roof top in NYC and a hysterical studio photograph of Ozzy Osbourne wearing a pink tutu and cowboy boots ; Also on display will include the original VJs' of MTV, Rick James, Madonna, Duran Duran, Bret Michaels, Motley Crue, Kiss, Van Halen, Rod Stewart, Bruce Springsteen -- combined with his work with contemporary artists, display not only Weiss' depth as a photographer, but his ability to evolve with the ever-changing industry.
Never one to limit himself, Weiss is also a presence on the Hollywood scene, having produced memorable images of icons such as Johnny Depp, Jack Nicholson, Drew Barrymore and Cheech & Chong. Weiss will be on hand on various occasions to chat about his work.
