Inspired by his father, music educator Jim Culbertson, Brian Culbertson has been a fast and fierce study of music, gravitating to all styles of dynamic music as long as it was expertly played by artists ranging from Chicago, David Sanborn and Sting to The Brecker Brothers and Maynard Ferguson. Since his 1994 debut Long Night Out, Brian has been credited with bringing a youthful yet no less masterful energy to popular instrumental music with hit albums and singles. His sixth album Nice & Slow (2001) topped Billboard's Contemporary Jazz chart for six weeks straight. And its follow-up, Come on Up (2003) included his blazing cover of Earth Wind & Fire's "Serpentine Fire," impressing Maurice White enough to want to work with him.

Chuck Berry's music has transcended generations. He earns respect to this day because he is truly an entertainer. Berry gained success by watching the audience's reaction and playing accordingly, putting his listeners' amusement above all else. For this reason, tunes like "Johnny B. Goode," "Maybellene" and "Memphis" have become anthems to an integrated American youth and popular culture. Berry is a musical icon who established rock and roll as a musical form and brought the worlds of black and white together in song.

When he broke on the national scene in 1957 with his classic "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On," Jerry Lee Lewis was every parents' worst nightmare perfectly realized: a long, blonde-haired Southerner who played the piano and sang with uncontrolled fury and abandon, while simultaneously reveling in his own sexuality.  Jerry Lee's follow-up to "Shakin'" was another defining moment for his career, as well as for rock & roll. "Great Balls of Fire" featured only piano and drums, but sounded huge with Phillips' production behind it. It got him into a rock & roll movie (Jamboree) and his fame was spreading to such a degree that Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins left Sun to go to Columbia Records. His next single, "Breathless," had a promotional tie-in with Dick Clark's Saturday night Bandstand show, making it three hits in a row for the newcomer.  He returned to the charts in the late 60s with a string of top ten country hits including "Another Time, Another Place" and "What Made Milwaukee Famous (Has Made A Loser Out of Me)". The next ten years saw him turning out more than a dozen best selling singles.  But the mid-'80s saw another jump start to his career. A movie entitled Great Balls of Fire was about to be made of his life and Lewis was called in to sing the songs for the soundtrack. Showing everyone who was the real Killer, Lewis sounded energetic enough to make you believe it was 1957 all over again with the pilot light of inspiration still burning bright.  With box sets and compilations, documentaries, a bio flick, and his induction to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame all celebrating his legacy, Lewis still continues to record and tour. Jerry Lee's latest release - THE PILGRIM - pairs him with such stars as B.B. King, Bruce Springsteen, Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart, Willie Nelson, Little Richard, Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, and Jimmy Page.

Ireland's HOTHOUSE FLOWERS made a name for itself during the late '80s and early '90s with a passionate, bombastic fusion of rock & roll with the rootsy sounds of Irish folk and American gospel. The group received a glowing write-up in Rolling Stone before even landing a record deal, but that drawback was rectified when U2's Bono saw them performing on a late-night television show. A single on U2's label Mother got Hothouse Flowers signed to PolyGram. Their 1988 debut, People, cruised to the top of the Irish charts and peaked at number two in Britain. Their follow-ups, Home and Songs From the Rain, continued their success at home and abroad. Their fifth and latest studio album 'Into Your Heart' is out now.

“ONLY IN AMERICA” - In one of the greatest turnabouts in Rock and Roll history, the group JAY AND THE AMERICANS, started by four teenage boys in Sandy Yaguda’s Brooklyn basement 40 years ago, have bought back their rightful name in federal court, restoring the name to it’s rightful owners. Very few bands have ever reached the musical heights of JAY AND THE AMERICANS. From 1962—1971, this group charted an unprecedented “12” top 10 records. With three original band members, Sandy Yaguda (aka Deane) founding member, Howie Kirschenbaum (aka Kane) original member, and Marty Kupersmith (aka Sanders), original member, plus the addition of “Jay” Reincke, the third Jay and probably the best yet, they have recreated the authentic sound of all of their great hits that everyone remembers.

Throughout Blue Öyster Cult's impressive career, the band has earned a well-deserved reputation as "the thinking man's heavy metal band." BÖC came out of Long Island, NY, and immediately delighted critics and fans. Not only was BÖC’s music hard-hitting, the subject matter and lyrics of its songs were fresh and clever -- particularly for a style of music not exactly revered for its braininess. Science fiction, horror, violence and tongue-in-cheek humor are common threads in much of BÖC’s material.  Their mainstream breakthrough was the explosion of 1976's 'Agents of Fortune' and the hauntingly immortal smash hit single "(Don't Fear) The Reaper." Subsequent albums further cemented Blue Öyster Cult's status as one of the finest hard-rock bands in history, with mammoth hit singles like "Godzilla" and "Burnin' For You."

The tenth full-length solo release and eighth studio album of his career, the disc will mark Bonamassa’s sixth collaboration with Kevin Shirley (Led Zeppelin, Black Crowes, Aerosmith) as producer. 2009 marked a year of milestones for Bonamassa. He kicked it off in February with the release of his ninth solo album, The Ballad of John Henry, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Blues Charts. Nicky Horne from the UK’s Planet Rock Radio called it “a quantum leap from his previous albums, and they were damn good – if he keeps this up, he is destined to walk alongside the truly greats.”

In the early 1970s, McClinton and his Ft. Worth pal Glen Clark headed out to Los Angeles, where they cut two then obscure but now prized albums for Atlantic Records as Delbert & Glen. Returning to Texas, he landed a deal with ABC Records. With the release of his 1975 solo debut, Victim of Life's Circumstances, McClinton firmly stamped his Ft. Worth-bred blend of blues, country and blue-eyed soul onto the pop musical landscape. A succession of influential and critically acclaimed albums followed, along with coups like appearing on "Saturday Night Live" in its heyday -- an acknowledgement of the pages torn from Delbert's play book by Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi when they formed The Blues Brothers. He scored hits like "Giving It Up For Your Love" and "Sandy Beaches," won a Grammy with Bonnie Raitt for their "Good Man/Good Woman" duet, and over the years has enjoyed covers of his songs by Emmylou Harris, The Blues Brothers, Vince Gill, Wynonna, Lee Roy Parnell, Martina McBride, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, among others.

Where do Blues and Rock legends go to get inspired? To Hubert Sumlin, who lacks their fame but has their love and admiration. That continues today – The Rolling Stones invited Hubert to sit in with them at one of their Madison Square Garden shows in January ’03. Hubert Sumlin is an electric guitar pioneer, largely responsible for the sound of many modern guitar players. Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, Jimmy Page, Bob Dylan, Frank Zappa, Bob Weir, Jeff Beck, Carlos Santana and many other critically acclaimed musicians consider Sumlin a major influence on their playing. Clapton proved his respect by refusing to do the Chess Records London Howlin' Wolf Sessions unless Hubert was present. "The Red Rooster", "Backdoor Man", "Shake For Me", "Killing Floor", "Smokestack Lightnin" and "Sittin' On Top of the World" are songs you may recognize from cover versions by Cream, The Doors, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, The Grateful Dead, or The Rolling Stones. Hubert Sumlin formulated the original music to these classics.

Ramsey Lewis is an American jazz composer, pianist and radio personality. He has been referred to as "the great performer", a title reflecting his performance style and musical selections which display his early gospel playing and classical training (Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, etc.) along with his love of jazz and other musical forms.  Ramsey Lewis first captivated fans with his first album “Ramsey Lewis And The Gentlemen of Swing” by the Ramsey Lewis Trio. By 1965, he was one of the nation’s most successful jazz pianists, topping the charts with The In Crowd, Hang On Sloopy and Wade In The Water. He has three Grammy Awards and seven gold records to his credit.  On September 29, Concord Jazz will release Songs From the Heart: Ramsey Plays Ramsey, the debut Concord Jazz CD from iconic pianist/bandleader Ramsey Lewis. At the age of 74, Ramsey Lewis has not only continued to be active in the jazz world, but he's also forging ahead with a newly inspired creative instinct as a composer. This re-envisioned artistic sensibility is showcased on his new album, which is a remarkable, refined collection of 12 new originals that he composed over a period of two years. The collection includes music from two commissioned world premiere performances at the Ravinia Festival in Highland Park, Illinois, just north of Chicago. Eight songs come from the score of 2007's ballet To Know Her...written for the Joffrey Ballet Company and four pieces come from 2008's Muses and Amusements suite performed with the Turtle Island Quartet.

"Satisfaction/A Rolling Stones Experience" is the international touring tribute production dedicated to the World's Greatest Rock & Roll Band. Now in it's sixth year of production and over 1000 performances, this highly acclaimed production showcases the most authentic cast & costuming of it’s kind. The likes of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and cast bring a colorful performance to over 40 years of classic hits. Featured in Rolling Stone, People, Las Vegas Today, CBS Sunday Morning news and hundreds of national newspapers, magazines, television & radio. Internationally recognized as the world’s greatest show honoring the Rolling Stones and their legacy. In 2005 the show joined the cast of Legends in Concert as the first Rolling Stones act ever on the Las Vegas strip and in 2007 Satisfaction was featured in a CBS Sunday Morning News segment proclaiming the group as the next best thing to The Rolling Stones.  The ALTAMONT concert (Dec. 6 1969) is often contrasted with the Woodstock festival that took place less than four months earlier. While Woodstock represented "peace and love", Altamont came to be viewed as the end of the hippie era and the de facto conclusion of 1960s American youth culture.
