Next Week's Concert Pick: CARMINE AND VINNY APPICE'S DRUM WARS AT BB KING'S, TIMES SQUARE, MONDAY 8/1 at 8!

Contributing editor Anne Raso says, "I love both Carmine and Vinny Appice's drumming, so this show on Monday night at BB King's in Times Square is a must! They promised great comedy and great tunes (they are naturally funny guys)--how can you pass that up? Plus, it will start your August off with a BANG!"

Here is the press release directly from Carmine's publicist, the legendary Carol Ross (whom we first met when she worked with KISS in 1977):

Two rock drumming legends will be hitting the stage at B.B. King's on Broadway on Monday, August 1st (showtime at 8PM)! Carmine and Vinny Appice will be rocking the B.B. King stage with energy and power, bringing all the excitement of years of playing arenas with artists like Rod Stewart, Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, Jeff Beck, Vanilla Fudge, The Edgar Winter Group and King Kobra, just to name a few.

Carmine Appice was the first sticksman to "legitimize" rock drumming with his landmark book, The Realistic Rock Drum Method. He was he first drummer to conduct instructional clinics and symposiums around the world, a tradition he continues today.

In 2009, Carmine recorded Appice's Guitar Zeus: Conquering Heroes--this was the third album in his Guitar Zeus series which featured axemen Ted Nugent, Richie Sambora, Brian May and Yngwie Malmsteen.

The Appice Brothers continue to bring their exciting show to audiences around the country.
