Elton John has been honored with a Golden Globe nomination by Hollywood's Foreign Press Association for his track, "Hello Hello," which was featured in the film, Gnomeo & Juliet.

The song, with music written by Elton and with lyrics by his longtime collaborator Bernie Taupin, is up for Best Original Song.

In that category, it will face stiff competition from Mary J. Blige ("The Living Proof" fromThe Help), Madonna ("Masterpiece" fromW.E.), Chris Cornell ("The Keeper" fromMachine Gun Preacher) and Brian Byrne ("Lay Your Head Down" from Albert Nobbs).

The film version of "Hello Hello" featured a duet with Lady Gaga, however, the soundtrack version did not.
