Dog The Bounty Hunter Canceled
"Dog the Bounty Hunter," A&E's long-running bounty hunting themed program has been canceled. The show finished last week after airing its eighth season.
The show was nearly canceled in its fifth season when Duane "Dog" Chapman's son, Tucker, sold a tape to National Enquirer, which featured his father repeatedly using the racial slur, "n****r."
Six months later A&E begun airing the show again.
In 2006, Chapman, his son Leland and partner Tim Chapman were arrested by federal authorities in connection with their adventure into Mexico to nab convicted rapist Andrew Luster.
The show got its start following Chapman's appearance on "Take This Job," which displayed various odd professions to viewers.
A&E did not offer an explanation for its decision to finally cancel the long running program.
