Pete Townshend Speaks Out About Child Porn Arrest

The Who rocker Pete Townshend was so distraught when he was branded a pedophile following his 2003 arrest he contemplated suicide.

The star was investigated by police after he used a credit card to access a website that allegedly advertised child pornography.

Townshend decided not to fight the charges against him and accepted a police caution, although he is adamant he only searched the site as part of research into the horrors of the child porn industry.

He has now written about the turbulent time following his arrest in his new book, Who I Am, revealing he sank so low, he considered taking his own life.

Townshend writes, "If I had a gun I would have shot myself. It really did feel like a lynching."

In an interview with Britain's The Times newspaper, he says, "What I did was insane... (I didn't speak out to defend myself) because there was no sense of 'the truth will out'. I've had the misfortune to read online comments where I'm judged as a pedophile because I've got a big nose.''

He also reveals he wanted to help victims of child porn because of his own experiences, adding, "It's White Knight Syndrome. You want to be the one that's seen to be helping.... I had experienced something creepy as a child, so you imagine, what if I was a girl of nine or 10 and my uncle had raped me every week? I felt I had an understanding, and I could help.''

Prince Harry Drops Complaint Over Nude Photos

Britain's Prince Harry has dropped a formal complaint against editors at a U.K. newspaper for publishing naked photos during a Las Vegas holiday.

The third-in-line to the throne made headlines around the world in August when he was pictured cavorting nude with a girl in his luxury hotel suite in Sin City.

The Sun was the only U.K. newspaper to ignore advice from the country's media watchdog, the Press Complaints Commission (PCC), not to run the shots, and the images were printed in the tabloid days after they surfaced online.

The bold move prompted the Prince, who has since begun active military service on the frontline in Afghanistan, to file a formal complaint with the PCC, but he has now chosen to drop the case.

A spokesperson for royal residence St James's Palace says, "We remain of the opinion that a hotel room is a private space where its occupants would have a reasonable expectation of privacy. Prince Harry is currently focused entirely on his deployment in Afghanistan, so to pursue a complaint relating to his private life would not be appropriate at this time and would prove to be a distraction."

Prince Harry isn't the only member of the royal family to suffer a naked photo embarrassment - his sister-in-law, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, was captured sunbathing topless in early September during a short vacation in Provence, France.

She and her husband Prince William filed a breach of privacy lawsuit against the owners of Closer, the French magazine which first printed the images, and won an injunction against them barring further publication of the snaps, which have since run in several other European publications.

Paul McCartney 'Live Kisses' - On DVD, Blu-ray, and Digital Video November 13

November 13th will see the release of Live Kisses – a stunning 13-song film, directed by Jonas Åkerlund, that captures the magic of an extraordinary evening in February of this year. In the intimate surroundings of Capitol Studios in Los Angeles, where Paul recorded much of his Kisses On The Bottomalbum, he was reunited with the all-star musicians who joined him on the record to bring the songs to life for a once in a lifetime performance. [Pre-book Order Date October 19, MSRP $29.98 DVD, $34.98 Blu-ray, $12.99 Digital Video]

This was a concert unlike any Paul had given before. Streamed live to the world online, Live Kisses marked the launch of Paul’s Kisses On The Bottom album. The film tells the story of how, with the help of Grammy Award-winning producer Tommy LiPuma, Diana Krall and her band, Paul created a critically acclaimed album, which featured guest appearances from Eric Clapton and Stevie Wonder. The record represents a deeply personal journey through classic American compositions that a youngPaul first heard his father perform on piano at home. Upon its release Kisses… topped the US Billboard Jazz album chart at number 1, as well as charting top 5 all around the world.

On the night the all-star line up were reunited to include musical director Diana Krall (piano), John Clayton(bass), Karriem Riggins (drums), John Pizzarelli (guitar), Anthony Wilson (guitar), Mike Mainieri(vibraphone) and conductor Alan Broadbent. Tommy LiPuma and Al Schmitt resumed their roles in the studio and special guest musicians on the evening included Abe Laboriel Jr. (from Paul’s touring band) on backing vocals and Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh. Britney Spears' Manager Angry with 'Glee'

Britney Spears' handlers are livid after watching the stars ofGlee ridicule the pop star's public meltdown just minutes after her latest appearance on The X Factor Thursday night.

The latest Glee episode was billed as a second tribute to theToxic hitmaker - but instead of just reworking the singer's hits on the show, creator Ryan Murphy and his writers recreated Spears' 2008 breakdown, even filming a scene in which Heather Morris' character, Brittany S. Pierce, attacks a high school journalist with an umbrella, and another where she lip syncs and appears distant and out-of-step during a performance.

The real Britney attacked paparazzi with an umbrella as they hounded her following a head-shaving incident - something else that was referenced on Glee - and Spears was savaged for an ill-conceived 2007 performance of Gimme More at the MTV Video Music Awards, where she appeared to be more than a little out of sorts.

Ironically, the latest Glee episode aired directly after Spears' The X Factor show - on the same channel.

Calling the drama a "low blow" during his Access Hollywood Live show on Friday morning, television personality Billy Bush revealed he had been in touch with Spears' longtime manager Larry Rudolph, who revealed he had not seen or head about the episode before it aired on the Fox channel.

Bush said, "I can tell you that Britney's manager, Larry, is livid. He's not happy."

The recording of Paris was made in the back of a taxi cab where her male model friend was describing to her the cruising iPhone appGrindr. The recording was posted to the web shortly thereafter.

Paris' publicist said that Paris was expressing her concern for the dangers of unprotected sex.

Amanda Bynes Dropped By Staff

Things just went from bad to worse for Amanda Bynes. reports the troubled actress has been dropped by her lawyer, publicist and agent following a series of traffic related incidents that eventually led to the suspension of her license. The celebrity gossip site says the trio decided to drop Bynes because she “became extremely difficult in the past 12 months, some say uncontrollable.”

Bynes has not commented on the reports, but earlier this week she told People magazine she is “doing amazing.” "I am retired as an actor. I am moving to New York to launch my career. I am going to do a fashion line. I am not talking about being arrested for DUI because I don't drink, and I don't drink and drive. It is all false,” she said.

Bynes is set to appear in court today for a hearing about her DUI. The 26-year-old’s DUI arrest occurred on April 6 when she crashed into a police car in West Hollywood and refused a breathalyzer test. She is also facing two hit-and-run charges for accidents that occurred after her arrest. Bynes’ license was suspended earlier this month and her car was impounded last weekend when she was caught driving.

Judge Issues Warning to Amanda Bynes

A Los Angeles judge overseeing Amanda Bynes' hit-and-run case has given the actress a stern warning - stay out of trouble or face jail time.

The Hairspray star's driver's license was suspended on September 12 after a string of traffic troubles, including a DUI charge and two counts of hit-and-run, but she ignored the ban and was back on the road the following day, when she was involved in a minor fender bender.

The 26-year-old was caught behind the wheel again on Sunday when she was pulled over by Burbank, California police, who issued her a ticket for getting behind the wheel with a suspended license and impounded her black BMW 5-series.

Prosecutors appealed to Judge Elden Fox to impose $50,000 bail on Bynes following her additional legal issues, claiming she posed a risk to the public, but her lawyer headed to court on Wednesday to argue the request.

Judge Fox sided with Bynes' representative and denied the motion for bail as the star's most recent hit-and-run charge occurred on August 4, when she was still allowed to drive.

He stated: "Technically, Ms. Bynes is not in violation of order not to drive without a valid driver's license."

However, the judge made it clear that Bynes would face strict punishment if she was pulled over by traffic cops again and warned her lawyer she would face a much higher bail than the $50,000 proposed.

Bynes is due to stand trial for the DUI and hit-and-run charges on October 29.

Neither Pattinson, 26, nor Stewart, 22, have commented.

Shortly after news broke of her affair with Sanders, Stewart issued a public apology to Pattinson. "I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry," she said.

We are confident that the film delivers amazing entertainment for our passionate fans and general audiences alike,” Summit marketing president Nancy Kirkpatrick said.

Madonna Just Gave Lady Gaga Some Food for Thought in the Form of a Diss

Madonna’s been parading around in skimpy outfits, singing torchy anthems that have lit cities on fire for years. More like decades. Since the early 80′s. Before most people reading this were even born.

And it seems she doesn’t like the fact that Lady Gaga came along and stole her swag. The gloves came off a while back and gave us, the audience, another musical feud to feast on.

Madge was onstage in Atlantic City do her thing when she stopped and told the crowd that she wanted to dedicate her next song to Lady Gaga. She went on to sarcastically say that she loved Lady Gaga and that imitation was the greatest form of flattery.

Jude Law Supports Another Holmes

Studio bosses are rumored to be planning a third outing and Law says he wouldn't hesitate to get back in front of the camera alongside Downey, Jr.

He tells, "There's certainly talk of it and I know there's a script being played around with, but Downey's a busy boy and I'm a busy boy so we'll see. But we want to (do another one). We're a very happy team and we have a lot of fun and we also think there's still a lot of legs in the duo."

Stars Stand Up to Cancer: Julia Roberts, Tom Hanks, Michael Douglas, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Samuel L. Jackson

Julia Roberts, Tom Hanks, Michael Douglas, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Samuel L. Jackson were among the celebrities who joined forces at the Stand Up 2 Cancer telethon.

Robert Pattinson, Justin Timberlake, Matt Damon, Halle Berry and thyroid cancer survivor Sofia Vergara also turned out at the sombre televised event to lend their support to the campaign, which was launched by late Spider-Man franchise producer Laura Ziskin. She lost her battle against breast cancer in 2011, but was remembered with a special video featuring tributes from film stars Tobey Maguire and Emma Stone.

She told reporters: "It's been almost a decade now and I'm sort of more used to the fact that he's not here in physical body. But I definitely feel his presence, and I think he would be really happy that I'm here tonight doing this and trying to spare other people from what he went through."

The amount raised from the telethon was not available as WENN went to press.

Paltrow has also announced plans to take her cancer crusade to London and stage a similar event in October.

Beatles Painting For Sale

A painting created by The Beatles is set to go up for auction in New York next week.

The Let It Be hitmakers were forced to hole up inside their Toyko, Japan hotel room back in 1966 after they received a number of death threats in the middle of their world tour.

The band's manager handed them some paint and a large blank canvas in a bid to help stave off their boredom, and during their stay, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr each picked up a brush and exercised their frustration in a creative way.

Now the abstract masterpiece, entitled Images of a Woman, is to be sold off by Weiss Auctions in Oceanside on September 14.

Philip Weiss tells Forbes magazine, "They were bored. Over the course of two nights, working by lamp light in the center of the canvas, each Beatle painted a corner. The lamp got removed, (leaving a circle in the center), where each Beatle signed his work."
