Eye To Eye With Graham Nash In New York

If you were not lucky enough to catch Graham Nash's recent photography and art show (simply titled "The Art Of Graham Nash" at NYC's ACA Galleries, his people tell us that more shows (and art signings/receptions) will be coming up. We were lucky enough to go to the reception for Nash's show and have to say it's the most interesting art and photography show we've even caught by a veteran rock star. Even Susan Sarandon turned up for the opening and seemed blown away by whats she saw.

We were lucky enough to chat with Nash at his reception, although it was more about the unpredictable New York weather and his huge winning streak on Rock And Roll Jeopardy back in the day than about his art. (He admitted about Rock And Roll Jeopardy with a smile on his face: "I couldn't stop winning!" Indeed, he wound up raising tens of thousands of dollars for his favorite charities on that much-missed VH1 show where his only rival in rock and roll knowledge was Mark McGrath.)
Nash with legendary New York publicist Liz Derringer (left) and friend at the ACA Galleries reception in his honor.

The photography features not only celebs (there are a lot of shots of best friend David Crosby but none of Stephen Stills, in case you're curious) but moving, very gritty black and white multi-media collages on historical subject matters like Civil Rights in the South circa the 50s and 60s and the Viet Nam War. There are also a few acrylic pop art pieces that are plays on vintage advertising as well.

Nash with themacwire.com's good friend, freelance journalist Gail Worley (be sure to visit worleygig.com).
Our favorite items presently touring the art galleries are Nash's self-portrait "mirror pics" (that's what we call them anyway). Apparently, the singer-songwriter started this series of photos way back in 1969 because the earliest photo in the recent collection was taken in a round mirror in a hotel room way back in CS&N's early days of touring. Skip to the five current mirror pics that were on display at the ACA Galleries in October--and you will see that Nash used the same portable round mirror to obtain similar results although he used different restrooms in the 2011 and 2012 pics!
One of Nash's fabulous self-portraits.

There are some deeply personal photos here including a nude one taken of his wife Susan when she was pregnant back in 1979 and the night in 1997 that CS&N was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame at NYC's Waldorf Astoria. Some of Nash's deepest roots are traced in photos of his return visits to Manchester UK where he grew up, and there are also some pastel portraits of some of his favorite musicians including one of Al Kooper (where he oddly looks like Keith Richards thanks to the beard stubble and stoned expression). There are a couple of nice watercolor self-portraits thrown into the mix.
One of the famous "mirror shots" by Nash, circa 2011.

We here at the MAC WIRE look forward to Nash's next exhibit in New York (we're hoping it will be in the new year) and in the meantime, we'll be looking at his official website (www.grahamnash.com) for updates on both his art and music, as well as checking out Eye To Eye, the coffee table book he co-authored with Garrett White, that features a lot of the pieces just discussed. The book can be ordered from amazon. com as well as Nash's website. We're also looking forward to Nash's autobiography currently being penned with noted Beatles biographer Mark Spitz.--Anne M. Raso

MADAME MAYHEM: Music, Mayhem...And A Guy Named Mark!

Madame Mayhem performs to an enthusiastic crowd at the Cutting Room during her White Noise debut CD launch party last Saturday (photo by Anne Raso).
I was recently introduced to no-holds-barred-belter Madame Mayhem by her publicist, the legendary Liz Derringer, and was invited to her recent debut album launch party at midtown Manhattan's Cutting Room this past Saturday night--which also served as a well-attended fundraiser for Musicians On Call.
Madame (who is shy about giving out her real name) is a New York native who was a "top camper" at Rock And Roll Fantasy Camp in LA--so uniquely talented, in fact, that super-counselor Mark Hudson (best known for his production work with Ringo Starr, and as co-writer of the Grammy-winning Aersosmith song "Livin' On The Edge") took her under his wing and got "a little help from his friends." Her debut album White Noise is star-studded and many of those musicians have been creating a buzz on this Lady In Black all over the industry.
Moyer and Hudson--both performed with Madame Mayhem during her 90 minute set at the Cutting Room (photo  by Anne Raso).
Madame Mayhem's sound if straight ahead hard rock--something sorely missing from the scene right now (I didn't have to tell you that!). Hudson not only produced and mentored Ms. Mayhem, but got the likes of Disturbed and Adrenaline Mob bassist John Moyer, former Quiet Riot/current Blue Oyster Cult bassist/Rock Camp counselor Rudy Sarzo and legendary axeman Earl Slick to play on her debut disc, White Noise (on HeadBall Records) which went on sale on Tuesday, October 30.
L to R: Madame Mayhem with Adrenaline Mob guitarist Mike Orlando, producer Mark Hudson and Disturbed/Adrenaline Mob bassist John Moyer (photo by Anne Raso).
I have sat in on a few of Hudson's Rock Camp classes but was not at the LA Rock Camp attended by Mayhem. Hudson is a favored counselor not only because of his years in the business and the good advice he doles out to his campers, but because he always seems to be enjoying himself but because he seems to have something to offer to every musical level of camper, from shaky tambourine players to guitar players who give Jimmy Page a run for his money. To the best of my knowledge, Mayhem is the only Rock Camp act he has personally been knocked out enough by to produce and bring up through the ranks of the fickle music business.  Now, that's really saying something for her talents!
Madame Mayhem's debut CD White Noise will rock you like...Hurricane Sandy and a big bag of Halloween candy combined. (Photo courtesy of HeadBall Records.)
Mayhem's record release party included a fantastic 90 minute set which included the fantastic Matty Amendola on the skins (one of the NYC area's "young Turks" in the Skins Department) and Mark Hudson and John Moyer sitting in for a few tunes--Hudson sang his self-penned "Livin' On The Edge" and Moyer actually performed on the track he did for the White Noise album, "Dead Will Rise." The only disappointment of the evening was that several superstars who played on White Noise were not able to attend the opening due to inclement weather--and they included former Cars guitar slinger Elliot Easton, and the aforementioned Sarzo and Slick. I was happy to meet John Moyer's bandmate, axeman Mike Orlando at the Madame Mayhem CD launch party, although he did not sit in on the set like Moyer did.
This enthusiastic Madame Mayhem fan was thrilled to get his White Noise CD signed by Moyer, Hudson and Mayhem--rumor has it that he is now trying to grow a multi-colored beard like Hudson's, getting his hair braided like Moyers and is sporting the spiky cuff bracelets that Mayhem has helped popularize recently, LOL (photo by Anne Raso).
For more info on Madame Mayhem, visit her official site, www.madamemayhem.com. Also be sure to like her official Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/madamemayhem. Her Twitter handle is @mayhemofficial. The White Noise album can be purchased for only $8.99 on amazon.com. Rock on, Madame!--Anne M. Raso

Green Day Axe Upcoming Tour Dates

Green Day have canceled the remainder of their 2012 appearances and postponed their 2013 tour to allow frontman Billie Joe Armstrong to deal with his personal problems following his stint in rehab.

The singer checked into a treatment facility for substance abuse last month following an onstage breakdown at the iHeart Radio Music Festival in Las Vegas.

The American Idiot hit-makers pulled out of appearing at this weekend's Voodoo Music + Arts Experience festival in New Orleans, Louisiana, and now they have announced they are scrapping all of their upcoming shows so Armstrong can focus on his recovery.

A post on the band's website reads, "Green Day announced today they will cancel their club tour that was due to launch in Seattle at the Paramount Theatre on September 26th and wind down... on December 10th. Tickets for these clubs shows will be refunded at point of purchase.

"Additionally, Green Day will postpone all scheduled appearances for the months of January and February 2013. New dates for these rescheduled shows will be announced shortly and previously purchased tickets will be honored on the new dates."

Bassist Mike Dirnt says, "Obviously the timing for this isn't ideal, but Billie Joe's wellbeing is our main concern. We are happy to say that Billie Joe is doing well, and we want to thank you all for the outpouring of support and well wishes that we have received, and we can't wait to see you all again soon."

Nonetheless, to appease fans, the band is now bringing forward the release date of its upcoming album ¡Tre!.

Drummer Tre Cool adds, "We feel bad we have to delay our tour, so to make up for it we want to give our fans the music earlier than we had planned. If we couldn't be there to play it for you live, the least we could do was give you the next best thing."

The album will now hit shelves on December 11th, instead of January 15th.

Bon Jovi Cuts Ticket Prices For UK Fans

Bon Jovi cuts ticket prices for U.K. fans

Bon Jovi is offering fans the chance to see them in concert for just $20.

The Livin' on a Prayer hitmakers are so angry rock fans are often forced to spend hundreds of dollars to see their favorite bands, they have introduced cut-price tickets to their Because We Can Tour next year.

Rob Hallett, Bon Jovi's U.K. tour promoter from AEG Live, tells British newspaper the Daily Mirror, "I was delighted when they came to me insisting on ticket prices for the Because We Can Tour next year that enabled all to attend."

"If we are to survive as an industry we need to move away from the elitist image of high prices and even higher secondary prices. After all, rock and roll always was and always should be the music of the people and that means everyone."

Miley Cyrus is Honey Boo Boo's Biggest Fan!

Miley Cyrus installed subwoofers in her house in order to watch one of her favorite TV shows loud and clear: "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo."

The pop star told Chelsea Handler, "Since you saw me last, I put in a home theater in my house and then it wasn't quite loud enough, so we got subwoofers. So, I can really her it extra loud. So when I hear her say 'holla for a dolla,' it's like the whole house shakes."

It's not exactly a surprise that Cyrus likes the redneck antics on "Honey Boo Boo." Cyrus was born in Nashville, Tennessee and is familiar with the southern way. Her fiance Liam Hemsworth, however, doesn't watch the show with her.

"I just sit in the cinema and like, watch it," Cyrus admitted.

The actress appeared as a guest star on "Two And A Half Men" on Thursday night playing a very talkative character. Handler asked her if she was channeling Honey Boo Boo, and she said, "Yeah, basically."

Police Called To Tom Cruise's Home

Police were called to Tom Cruise's Los Angeles home over the weekend after a member of the actor's security team spotted an intruder on the grounds.

A guard saw a man "climbing a fence to gain access to the property" and he used a stun gun to detain him as police raced to the scene.

The Associated Press reports a 41-year-old man, who lives in an adjacent property, was treated at a nearby hospital before being taken into custody for trespassing.

Cruise was not at the home in Beverly Hills when the drama occurred.

Police say the man was intoxicated at the time of the incident and that "he may haev confused himself and entered the wrong property."

Ashley Greene: "Dating is Hard"

Ashley Greene has opened up about her love life, claiming that it’s tough to find a boyfriend when you’re famous.
The Twilight star, who split from Joe Jonas last year, said most men used her to find fame themselves.
Speaking to British GQ magazine, the actress said that the guys often tell her they don’t want to be in the press, only to suggest that they go out to a place with paparazzi.
The 25-year-old admitted that sometimes she wishes she could go back to Florida ‘and date my home-town boyfriend’.
Ashley also opened up about how “frustrating” she finds the media speculation about who she is dating, particularly when she visits her brother’s home or is with a “mystery man”.

Michael Jackson Loses Dead Earners Top Spot Posted on: October 26, 2012 By: splash In: News

Michael Jackson is no longer the highest earning dead celebrity.

But which famous person could possibly have pulled ahead of the king of pop? According to Forbes, Jacko’s estate earned a staggering 145 million dollars. However it’s the Queen of Class who has risen to the top spot.

Elizabeth Taylor is now first in the annual list, and her posthumous pennies amounted to a colossal 210 million dollars.

Apparently the huge bump in money arrived when her jewelry was auctioned plus sales of her perfume White Diamonds alone scooped 75 million dollars.

Meatloaf’s Weird Improv At Romney Gala

Meat Loaf became a bit of a “meat laugh” after a video surfaced of him massacring “America The Beautiful” with an improvisation that turned Mitt Romney’s Ohio Gala into an ear bashing.

Selena Gomez Fake Dates Justin Bieber For Her Image?

Apparently kissing and dating for ages is just not viable proof these days because a source told radaronline that their relationship isn’t the fairytale romance they’d like their fans to believe it is.

Does that mean they even argue sometimes? You know, like normal couples.

Well apparently yes they do and almost break up regularly. However Selena’s camp keep urging her to make it work.

The source added that it’s a one-way street and whereas Justin’s heart is firmly with his first true love, Selena is riding out the relationship, as it’s good for her image.

Yes it turns out that Wizards of Waverly Place and Spring Breakers might not be good enough to maintain uber celeb status alone.

But if Justin were to lose his popularity, he’d supposedly be dumped immediately.

'Twilight' Star Single Again

Twilight star Ashley Greene has reportedly split from her actor boyfriend Reeve Carney.

Greene made her romance with the Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark star public in December 2011 but the pair has called it quits after 10 months together.

The actress, who has previously dated Joe Jonas and Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill, recently admitted she finds it hard to make her love life a priority.

The couple's hectic work schedules appear to have got in the way of its budding romance, as a source tells UsMagazine.com, "They are over... Reeve seems to be fine and it was just crazy with their schedules."

A separate source hinted the split could be only temporary: "She knows this is a pivotal time in her career. I wouldn't say I could never see them getting back together but right now they are doing their own thing."

Taylor Swift Ends Brief Romance With Connor Kennedy

It’s over for Taylor Swift and Conor Kennedy. A close friend of Swift tells Us Weekly magazine the pair ended their brief romance “a while ago.” the split was amicable and Swift, 22, and Kennedy, 18, remain friends, according to the insider.

"They quietly parted ways a while ago. It was just a distance thing. No hard feelings. They're fine,” the friend says.

Swift’s busy work schedule and the recent release of her album Red reportedly played a part in the breakup. "It's been over a month since they've even seen each other,” the insider adds. "With her promotion for Red, she has no time off until the end of the year."

The singer has not commented. She began dating Kennedy, the son of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., in July. Swift previously dated Jonas Brothers singer Joe Jonas, Twilight star Taylor Lautner and actor Jake Gyllenhaal.

Ellen DeGeneres Receives Top Honor

Ellen DeGeneres proved that she’s more than just a face on TV…She’s a trailblazer in the field of comedy, receiving the nation’s top humor prize in Washington DC.

We took these shots of Ellen and her wife Portia de Rossi while at the event, which included celebrities funnyman Jimmy Kimmel, The Office star John Krasinksi, and fan favorite Jane Lynch…who remarked that she couldn’t have the career she has, or lived as openly as she’s lived had it not been for Ellen.

On the red carpet, DeGeneres noted that she didn’t see herself as a trailblazer, but rather someone who just wanted to make people laugh.

Madonna Slips On Stage

Pop superstar Madonna refused to let an onstage tumble disrupt her performance in Dallas on Saturday.

Ironically, the Material Girl was singing the lyrics, "When you call my name it's like a little prayer/I'm down on my knees, I wanna take you there", when she lost her footing and fell forward towards fans at the edge of the stage.

The singer managed to land on her knees and she tried to disguise the mishap by rolling on her back and jumping back to her feet to continue the show without missing a beat.

Madonna is no stranger to onstage tumbles - she took a spill while performing the half-time spectacular at the 2012 Super Bowl earlier this year.

Justin Bieber Faces New Lawsuit

Justin Bieber is being sued by a man alleging to be the father of his girlfriend Selena Gomez.

Legal papers have been filed in Michigan by an unidentified male, who claims theBaby hitmaker illegally used his American Express credit card to pay for a string of outrageous products and services, including a penis enlargement and drugs.

The plaintiff goes on to accuse Bieber of impregnating Gomez, and borrowing money from him to pay for an abortion, reports TMZ.com.

The documents state: "Bieber has cost me $426.78 and never paid me back. This money was used as abortion money because Justin Bieber got my daughter Selena pregnant in my bedroom, on my canadian bear rug."

Concluding the lawsuit, which also makes reference to Bieber's mentor Usher and pal Sean 'Diddy' Combs, the man writes, "I'm an emotional mess... America must boycott biebers (sic) music!"

Gomez's dad Ricardo Joel Gomez divorced her mom, Mandy, when the singer/actress was five years old.

It's not the first time Bieber has been hit with outrageous legal action - he was sensationally accused of fathering fan Mariah Yeater's baby last year. The devotee claimed she had conceived her child after a backstage romp at one of his concerts in Los Angeles in 2010.

Bieber vehemently denied the allegations and even agreed to take a DNA test to prove Yeater was lying, but she subsequently backtracked and dropped her lawsuit. The incident inspired the teen to write a song about the paternity drama for his new album, Believe.

Taylor Swift on Course For Another Million-Selling Album

First day receipts of Taylor Swift's new album Red suggest the country singer is on course to debut at number one in the U.S. with sales of over one million.

Billboard.com insiders claim the Love Story singer sold in excess of 500,000 copies of her new release on Monday, while industry experts predict she'll smash Mumford & Sons' first-week sales record at the iTunes Music Store.

The British folk act scored the feat just three weeks ago when their new albumBabel opened with 390,000 download sales.

Swift's last album Speak Now debuted on the Billboard 200 chart almost two years ago with just over a million first-week sales, and only one other artist has managed to top those sales - Lady Gaga entered the countdown at number one with 1.1 million sales of Born This Way last year.

Only 17 albums have opened with sales of one million or more in the modern era of the U.S. charts.

The Mac Wire Review: Micky Dolenz At B.B. Kings October 20. 2012

On Friday night The Mac Wire was invited to see Micky Dolenz perform at B.B. King's Blue Club in New York City. We had a blast!  The house as we expected sold out and Micky was in top form. A reader sent in this review.  Let us know if you were there too:

I’ve seen Micky Dolenz several times in the past few years and have really loved every single show. First: His voice which Rolling Stones, yes, Rolling Stone, called one of the best in rock ‘n roll, never fails to surprise. The Guardian in the U.K. last year compared his voice to a magical mix of Roy Orbison and Freddie Mercury; and, in many ways, he’s never sounded better than today. I’ve always been struck his exemplary choices of song styles; “I’m A Believer” rocks, but his choice of songs like, “D.W. Washburn,” from Smokey’s Joe’s Café (written by Leiber and Stoller), is nothing sort of impeccable. Last night he appeared at B.B. King’s with his band; he’d appeared there before at numerous charity events (i.e., Rockers On Broadway) but, last night was his first as the headliner. Also promised in the show were several numbers from his excellent new album Remember. And, as the icing on the cake, the whole show was being recorded as a live CD/DVD for release.

After a tremendous introduction by Q104.3’s Jim Kerr – a Dolenz confident for many years and arguably one of the nicest guy in radio - Micky joined his band on stage beginning with “That was Then, This Is Now” for what one of his best and strongest shows ever. Wearing a elegant-John Varvatos jacket, hat and tinted-glasses, Dolenz began on a somewhat reserved note, but built strongly and quickly had the crowd behind him in fast fashion. He deftly segued into “She” which the crowd went crazy for. This Boyce/Hart song is always a crowd pleaser and last night, it was rendered as good as ever. A highlight of his show was his take on the famous Archies’ record “Sugar, Sugar,” recreated for his new album; as a saucy and suggestive dance. As he told it from the stage, it could well have been a Monkees song, but the powers-that-be at the time didn’t make it happen, but the song had long continued to fascinate him and as he told this story to the album producer David Harris; Harris then created this wonderful new take on the Ron Dante-song. The crowd went into overdrive. Having listened to the 1969 original, probably too many times (but, hey, who hasn’t) his take was a most welcomed re-configured version.

Micky calls Carole King’s “Sometime In The Morning” his “Layla.” It’s a lovely song and he re-creates it lovingly again on the new CD. “Last Train To Clarksville” followed and the few remaining audiences members who weren’t yet into the show came into the fold. “Purple Haze,” “Cryin’ In The Rain,” his sister Coco performing “A Different Drum” and “White Rabbit” followed to much applause. Then came his tribute to fallen-Monkee Davy Jones, which included “Daydream Believer” and “A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You.” The sudden and unexpected death of Jones is still sinking in and a cold and sobering chill shot through the venue as he performed these songs in proper remembrance; the re-grouped Monkees tour next month, will indeed be a somewhat different affair. Needless to say, it should be some show to see, with Mike Nesmith back in the fold.
Then came, perhaps my favorite part of the show, with his take on The Beatles’ “Oh Darling,” and his new take on his song “Randy Scouse Git,” featuring a breathtaking guitar solo from Wayne Avers; who without question is Micky’s secret weapon here. It’s easy to see why he has so ably backed Dolenz for quite some time; his whole band, including Dave Alexander, Rich Dart, Coco, and, David Billings, just stellar. I have to say that this current version of his solo band is the best I’ve yet seen. It was quite an audience too with actor Tony Danza and entourage sitting front and center applauding Micky’s every move; for those who don’t know or recall, Micky’s eldest daughter Ami appeared with Danza in the 1989 movie She’s Out of Control. We also saw Micky’s able assistant Jane Blunkell and PR-mouthpiece David Salidor running about as well. Steve Walter from The Cutting Room was present too. Great night; tremendous show. It was indeed a magical night.

Dolly Parton Nets Fortune Whitney Houston

Dolly Parton says she received a "tremendous boost" in songwriting royalties for her song I Will Always Love You following Whitney Houston's death earlier this year.

Houston's 1992 version of the ballad, which Parton wrote in the 1970's, returned to the top of the charts after she passed away in February, as fans flocked to purchase her signature hit.

The country singer previously admitted she was left "shattered" by Houston's death, and now she has revealed she netted a fortune from the international smash.

Parton tells Britain's Daily Star Sunday, "I've had a tremendous boost in finances since Whitney passed on because there have been lots of new Best Of albums and different people recording the song.

"It really did boost sales. I am so thankful to God for that and to Whitney who did such a good job with it. She made the song go worldwide when it was first released. It's a song which keeps me in wigs, hair and make-up."

Parton, who is said to be worth an estimated $400 million, adds, "I still need to work - I have a big family to support. Nobody ever makes that much money, not the kind of money I spend anyway!"

Adele Gives Birth

British soul sensation Adele has given birth to a baby boy, according to U.K. reports.

The Rolling in the Deep hitmaker and her boyfriend, Simon Konecki, welcomed a son on Friday night, reports the Daily Mail.

A source tells the newspaper, "Adele and Simon are ecstatic at their new arrival. She was over the moon that they were expecting their first child together."

A spokesperson for the singer has refused to confirm or deny the claims, insisting, "We are not releasing a statement at this time. No comment."

No further details about the baby were available as WENN went to press.

Adele, 24, began dating charity boss Konecki, 38, late last year and she announced she was pregnant in a post on her website in June.

Konecki is also dad to a five-year-old daughter with his ex-wife Clary Fisher.

Britney Spears' Dad Feared For Her Life

Britney Spears' father says he thought the singer would die during her infamous 2007 meltdown.

Jamie Spears' lawyer Leon Gladstone made the revelation on Friday on the second day of the defamation trial between the Toxic hitmaker's former sidekick Sam Lutfi and the star's mom, Lynne Spears.

Gladstone said, "It's a story of a man who actually wanted nothing more for his daughter than to live and be well. It's a story of a father who has had to step up and take action that he never thought he would have to take... actions that didn't perhaps endear his daughter to him.

"Jamie was living in constant fear that he was going to look at the TV one day and see Britney was dead."

Gladstone claimed that Jamie attempted to get Britney into rehab after she plummeted into a downward spiral following her 2006 split from husband Kevin Federline.

Jamie also convinced Federline to obtain sole legal custody of his two young children with Spears, who was hospitalized on an involuntary psychiatric hold in early 2008.

The lawyer told the court, "(Jamie) had to take her kids away. He had to get her into a conservatorship. He is scared to death, and he's thinking to himself, 'My daughter has lost everything. Here she is, in a psychiatric ward, out of her head.'"

Gladstone went on to reveal that Jamie - who was made conservator of Spears' estate after the 2008 incident - and his ex-wife Lynne began to notice a change in their daughter's behavior when she split from Justin Timberlake in 2002, insisting the relationship "ended painfully."

Lutfi, who was fired from the pop star's entourage in 2008, filed suit against Lynne Spears over allegations she made in her memoir, Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World. In the book, she claimed Lutfi secretly drugged her daughter and refused to let her speak freely to family and friends.

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel Marry in Southern Italy

It’s being reported by People.com that Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have just married in southern Italy. While details are still a little sketchy, it appears the couple was keeping everything a secret, but they were surrounded by family and friends. We will update as more information comes in. Our congratulations to the happy couple!

Taylor Swift Was Dumped By One Directions’ Harry Styles

Taylor Swift was left heartbroken after she was dumped by One Direction singer Harry Styles.

Hard to imagine right?

Well apparently it did.

The 24 year-old country singer was reportedly wearing her love goggles when she hooked up with the 18 year-old UK boy band heart-throb, and it all happened right before dating Conor Kennedy.

The whole relationship crashed and burned when Harry was caught kissing model Emily Ostilly.

A source told RadarOnline that even though they weren’t exclusive, Harry told Taylor he didn’t want her seeing anyone else, just before he toured to New Zealand and was caught in the act.

Harry sent her multiple texts begging for a chance to explain but the damage was done.

Makes you wonder if there is a song up her sleeve about this one.

Country Stars Honored For Charity Work

Vince Gill, Charlie Daniels and Randy Owen were recognized for their humanitarian work at an awards show in Nashville this past week.

The three singers were guests of honor at the Leadership Music Dale Franklin Awards and they were applauded for their charitable efforts.

Musicians including Rodney Crowell and Al Anderson took to the stage to play for the award winners at the event, held at Nashville's War Memorial Auditorium, while Gill's wife Amy Grant and his daughter Jenny, from his first marriage, also paid tribute to the country star.

Gill's family presented him with a glass bowl engraved with the name of the award, and Gill joked, "I can put a lot of peanut M&M's in here."

Speaking before the ceremony, Gill played down his charitable work, telling reporters, "All you can do is lead by example and that's all I've ever tried to do - help out."

Daniels added, "I am just so honored to be thought of in the same sentence with these other two guys. I don't do charitable things to be recognized but it's still nice when that happens."

Kourtney And Kim Kardashian Pushing For TV Hosting Gigs

If Kris Jenner has her way the Kardashian sisters will soon be dominate TV. Insiders say the Kardashian-Jenner family matriarch became determined to land Kourtney and Kim TV hosting gigs after Khloe was chosen to co-host The X Factor with Mario Lopez.

“With Khloe getting her dream job as an X Factor host, Kris thinks anything is possible now. Kris thinks that Kim and Kourtney can benefit from Khloe’s luck and is desperate for them to go off on their own and appear in other shows,” a family insider tells RadarOnline.com. “As soon as the contract was signed, Kris immediately got on the phone to various TV production companies to find out if there was something that Kim and Kourtney could work on.”

Jenner’s top choices for Kourtney and Kim are Project Runway and America’s Next Top Model. “Because Kourtney was more prominently involved with working on their Dash clothing label, Kris believes she should be on a show like Project Runway. Kim is great in front of the camera, has lots of experience modeling and doing fashion shoots, so Kris is desperate for her to get involved as a judge on a show like America’s Next Top Model,” the source adds.

Robert Pattinson Planning To Move To UK With Kristen Stewart

Perhaps there’s a “Twi-light” at the end of the tunnel for Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’srelationship as it seems the couple are planning to ditch Hollywood for Cornwall.

The Sun has reported that the Eclipse lovers, who seem to have reunited after Kristen cheated with director Rupert Sanders, are longing for the calm of the South of England.

Apparently Hollywood’s most talked about couple are fed up of being chased everywhere and want to escape the craziness of the US.

A source told the paper that after Rob’s childhood holidays to Cornwall, the 26-year-old actor took Kristen there for a four-day trip recently and she loved it.
The pair are reportedly hoping to finalize on a remote cottage soon so Kristen can enjoy some alone time with her Cornish R-Pasty.

Cheryl Cole Angers Katie Waissel With X Factor Opinion

Cheryl Cole may be riding high as she comes close to the end of her first UK solo tour, but the singer isn’t the most popular X Factor judge any more, at least for former contestant Katie Waissel.

The singer, who entered the reality contest in 2012, has blasted Cheryl for her comment that she only chose Katie for the live shows because she would make ‘good TV’.

Wanting to make her response equally public, Katie took to Twitter to blast the Geordie singer, writing “@cherylcole I thought you were better than this. Shame I trusted you. you live and you learn’.

Patti Smith's "Live At Montreux 2005" On DVD and Blu-ray November 13

On November 13, Eagle Rock Entertainment will release Live At Montreux 2005 by Patti Smith on DVD, Blu-ray, and Digital Video [Pre-book Order Date October 19, MSRP $14.98 for DVD, $19.98 for Blu-ray, and $12.99 Digital Video].

Smith’s vibrant live performance – a fervent intermingle of visual artistry, musical exploration, spoken word, and Rock ‘N’ Roll – is beautifully captured on Live At Montreux 2005 via DTS Surround Sound, Dolby Digital 5.1, and Dolby Digital Stereo. This Montreux concert was filmed in the midst of their 2005 tour in support of the 2004 albumTrampin’. This is the first ever live video release by Patti Smith and includes classic tracks such as “Because The Night,” “Dancing Barefoot,” “People Have The Power,” “Redondo Beach,” “25th Floor,” and many more. In addition, they also serenade the legacy of Bob Dylan, with a performance of “Like A Rolling Stone.”

Along with Patti Smith on vocals, guitar and clarinet, the band line-up includes original Patti Smith Groupmembers Lenny Kaye (guitar & vocals) and Jay Dee Daugherty (drums), Tom Verlaine of Television on guitars and long standing band member Tony Shanahan on bass, keyboards and vocals.

“There’s something magical about seeing Montreux on our tour itinerary,” says Lenny Kaye. “Along with a sense of achievement in becoming part of its grand tradition, there’s an awareness of the many Those who have played here over the years, the tribute that must be paid, the higher level of artistic exploration and audience sophistication that enhances the possibilities for taking a performance one step further. We partake of a sense of communal belonging within the mandala that is human musical expression.”

Patti Smith was one of the key artists in the breakthrough of New York City punk rock. The 1975 debut albumHorses was a landmark release, from her unique vocals and lyrics, to the strikingly androgynous cover art, shot by photographer Robert Mapplethorpe (Patti dons this exact outfit in the 2005 concert). Horses was a huge influence on the whole New Wave genre, and paved the way for 11 additional albums, as well as several published poetry collections.

Smith’s distinctive blend of rock, punk and poetry combined with her uncompromising style has ensured that she has remained a credible artist throughout her career, and continues to influence artists to this day.

Jennifer Aniston Gets Emotional About Engagement

Jennifer Aniston may be reluctant when it comes to talking about her relationship with fiancé Justin Theroux, but her tears said it all on Monday’s Chelsea Lately. Aniston immediately got emotional when host Chelsea Handler asked about her recent engagement.

"I just got verklempt," the actress said as she tried to hold back tears.

“Aren’t you so happy? You are so happy because he's the greatest guy ever and you guys make the greatest couple ever and I am so happy for you two,” Handler said.

Aniston, 43, even encouraged Handler to get engaged. "That would be a good thing to do. Make an honest woman out of you!” she joked.

Theroux, 41, popped the question in early August. "Justin Theroux had an amazing birthday on Friday, receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage," the actor’s rep told People magazine at the time.

The couple began dating in May 2011 after meeting on the set of ‘Wanderlust.’ This will be the first marriage for Theroux and the second for Aniston. Aniston was married to Brad Pitt for five years before calling it quits in 2005 amid rumors Pitt was having an affair with his Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-star Angelina Jolie. Pitt and Jolie confirmed their relationship in 2006. They are currently engaged and have six children together.

Aniston can be seen next in We’re The Millers while Theroux is set to write and direct Zoolander 2.

Beyonce Confirms Super Bowl Halftime Performance

Beyonce has confirmed rumors she is set to headline the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show. On her official website Tuesday, the singer wrote “Countdown to Touchdown” and posted a picture of herself with Feb. 3, 2013 written on her face. No other details have been released.
Madonna headlined last year’s halftime show. She was joined onstage by Cee Lo Green, LMFAO, Nicki Minaj and M.I.A.
Beyonce, who has a 9-month-old daughter with husband Jay-Z, most recently made headlines for pulling out of Clint Eastwood’s remake of “A Star is Born.” The 31-year-old was set to play a promising young star who falls in love with an older performer. She was forced to drop out of the project because of her busy schedule.
“I was looking forward to the production of 'A Star Is Born' and the opportunity to work with Clint Eastwood. For months we tried to coordinate our schedules to bring this remake to life but it was just not possible. Hopefully in the future we will get a chance to work together,” she told E! News in a statement.

Big Stars to Add to Film's Soundtrack

Lady Gaga and Prince are writing new songs for director Baz Luhrmann's version of The Great Gatsby, according to one of his stars. Actress Adelaide Clemens let it slip in a recent interview that the two pop superstars have "approached" the moviemaker with a view to supply songs for the soundtrack of the film, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan.

She tells IndieWire.com, "They have some new music that's going to be added to the film. Some pretty huge artists have approached Baz and are writing songs for the film, and I don't think Warner Bros. are going to turn down Prince and Lady Gaga knocking down your door... I don't know if I'm allowed to say that."

Luhrmann has a little time to play with if he is to revamp his soundtrack - The Great Gatsby's Christmas Day release has been pushed back by six months. The original trailer for the film, which was released earlier this year, featured Jay-Z and Kanye West's No Church In The Wild.
