New Elton John Book: Love Is the Cure: On Life, Loss and the End of AIDS

New details have been revealed about Elton John‘s upcoming book, Love Is the Cure: On Life, Loss and the End of AIDS. In the 256-page volume, the pop legend discusses his deep involvement in the fight against the deadly disease, beginning with his befriending of Ryan White, the Indiana boy who contracted and died of AIDS after receiving a blood transfusion during the 1980s.

Love Is the Cure, which will be published on July 17, also will feature Elton’s stories about his friendships with fellow celebrities, including Princess Diana, Queen singer Freddie Mercury and Elizabeth Taylor. The book will be available in the hardcover, paperback, digital and CD audio formats.

You can hear an audio clip of John reading an introductory passage from the book at HatchetteBookGroup.com. In the segment, the singer says, “I’ve made my living telling stories through songs, and it gives me incredible joy the way people connect with my music. That is all I hope to do in this book, to tell stories that connect people with this epidemic so we can work together to end it.”

Sales of Love Is the Cure will benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes to Divorce

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are divorcing after almost six years of marriage.

Cruise's lawyer Bert Fields said Holmes had filed divorce papers on Thursday. His representative Amanda Lundberg said: "Kate has filed for divorce and Tom is deeply saddened and is concentrating on his three children. Please allow them their privacy to work this out."

Holmes's attorney Jonathan Wolfe told People magazine: "This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family. Katie's primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest."

Cruise, 49, and Holmes, 33, were married in November 2006 after a year and a half together. He raised eyebrows by jumping on to a couch to declare his love for her on the Oprah Winfrey show, saying: "I can't be cool. I can't be laid-back. Something happened and I want to celebrate it." Holmes revealed she had had a crush on the Top Gun actor as a girl.

He proposed at the Eiffel Tower in Paris in June 2005, and they were married at a 15th-century Italian castle in a ceremony conducted by a Church of Scientology minister in front of A-list guests.

Cruise had recently attended the premiere for Rock of Ages alone, and was also without Holmes when he picked up a Friars Club entertainment icon award this month. At the time, he said she was abroad and the family would reunite in time for Father's Day.

His "My Three Sons" co-star Barry Livingston, who played youngest brother Ernie, confirmed Mr. Grady's death to the Associated Press. Livingston said Mr. Grady had been suffering from cancer and receiving hospice care at his home in Thousand Oaks (Ventura County). But the exact cause and place of death were not immediately clear.

Catching Up With Ringo And Friends At NYC's Pop International Galleries!

Photos And Text By Anne M. Raso

I was lucky enough to catch up with Ringo Starr and members of his All-Starr Band at the special VIP party at the Pop International Galleries at 473 West Broadway in Soho, NYC. I was as happy as...and octopus in a garden, LOL! It's not everyday that you get to meet a Beatle!

(Ringo says: "Happiness is NOT a warm gun!")

I consider myself blessed to have been able to get a quick question in with the man himself on the red carpet line--even though Ringo was only on it for ten minutes and had bigger fish to fry (like dealing with reporters from CBS-TV, who had also interviewed him at the Pop International Galleries earlier that day). I basically asked him about the beginnings of his artistic endeavors, which he started taking seriously and selling for charity in 2002. But the Ringed One told us that his love of art goes back to his Beatles days: "I used to get bored on the road and I would just start drawing. I am happy that I was later able to put it to good use and help raise money for the Lotus Foundation (a English arts and spirituality charity you can read more about on lotusfoundation.org.uk)."

We shot Ringo and the most famous of his All-Starrs, Todd Rundgren, arriving for the event...and Rundgren spent over a half hour talking to fans on the nearby street corner at Houston and West Broadway (no star attitude there, which was refreshing). Ringo tried to mingle at the party inside Pop International Galleries and stayed for an hour (minus wife Barbara Bach) but it got very crazy. He was only able to stick his head out of the VIP room for about ten minutes and sign some of the bigger pieces gallery customers had purchased. The managers of the gallery kept saying, "Please disperse a little bit so that Ringo can come through the crowd!" It never quite happened, though! (Luckily, I got up to the front of the gallery to shoot the photo you see at the very top of this blog entry!)

The party stayed in a chaotic state (once or twice removed from full-out Beatlemania) and Ringo left after an hour. Thankfully, he did speak via mic about how wonderful the event was and thanked everyone who came. Some of the folks who bought pricier pieces of art got their art customized with a personalized signature (Ringo does not really do autographs these days, as you know) and a couple even got snapshots with the four-ringed, Ludwig-playing legend.

Everyone at the party had to buy a piece of art (starting at $700) to be able to attend the special VIP event. Caesar's in Atlantic City had a similar event last Saturday night before Ringo's show there, and we heard through the grapevine that it was a little less crazy! We confess that we took a few of these art pictures in Palladium Room A at Caesar's during the day last Saturday, where we were left peacefully alone to enjoy Mr. Starkey's art!

You can see from the above prints and lithographs by our man that he is inspired by Warhol, Lichtenstein, Picasso's Cubism period and even the more famous Pucci prints of the 60s (we think his wife Barbara must be a big Pucci fan--have a look at the work immediately above)!

Not surprisingly, a lot of Ringo's art features a five-point star motif and some feature a little caricature of him by the signature on the bottom right. We hear more fun events like this one are coming up across the country as Ringo And His All-Starr Band do their summer tour! If you are interested in more info, be sure to visit ringostarrart.com. You can also follow Ringo on Twitter via his "handle," which is simply @ringostarrmusic. He talks about these "art gatherings" now and again. We think it's the best way for anyone to have the opportunity to party with a Beatle and help do some good charity work at the same time!

Rod Stewart Inks Worldwide Recording Contract With Universal Music Group

Expanding its creative investment further, Universal Music Group has signed iconic artist Rod Stewart to a long-term worldwide recording agreement, it was announced today by Lucian Grainge, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mr. Stewart and his manager, Arnold Stiefel.

As part of this multi-album deal, the two-time Hall of Famer has teamed with Grammy award-winning producer, songwriter and Verve Music Group Chairman David Foster to record his first Christmas album. Stewart’s warm, expressive and distinctively raspy voice is proving a perfect fit for the holiday classics. The album will also feature a handful of star-studded vocal duets and is scheduled for release this fall via Verve Music Group.

“I’ve known Rod and Arnold for many years and have been wanting to work with them for some time,” stated Mr. Grainge. “Rod possesses one of pop music’s most inventive and memorable voices; and we’re delighted to be part of the next great chapter in his already storied career.”

“UMG remains committed to artistic creativity and expanding opportunities for artists in the marketplace,” continued Mr. Grainge. “And nowhere is this more evident than in our new partnership with an artist of Rod’s caliber.”

Rod Stewart commented, “I’m confident that by partnering with my fellow CBE, Lucian, and his cracking, top-notch company, we have the best team in the business. And the chance to work again with David Foster makes it that much sweeter.”

“This is a match made in heaven,” Arnold Stiefel declared. “Rod’s writing spirit has been rekindled and Universal is the perfect keeper of the flame.”

With his soulful and singular voice, narrative songwriting and passionate live performances, Rod Stewart has paved one of the most iconic and successful musical careers of all time. In July, he will reunite with Stevie Nicks to reprise their acclaimed Heart & Soul tour and in September he will return to his Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. All on the heels of his hotly anticipated first memoir and Christmas album, which are both, scheduled for U.S. release this fall.

During Stewart’s iconic five decade-long career, he has sold more than 150 million albums worldwide, scored countless charting hits, 18 Grammy nominations and two inductions into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He is a Grammy Living Legend and in 2007 was bestowed the prestigious CBE (Commander of The British Empire) title by the Queen of England. For more information, visit www.rodstewart.com.

Aerosmith Delays Much-Anticipated Album

Aerosmith is waiting to release their much-anticipated new album to avoid a chart showdown with other big names this summer.

The group has been working on new material since last July, and frontman Steven Tyler revealed in one interview that they were on course to put the record out in March.

The album was subsequently pushed back to August, and now Tyler reveals that fans are facing an even longer wait for Music  From Another Dimension! - it's now due to hit stores on November 6.

Speaking on Cleveland's 100.7 WMMS radio network, he says, "Too many (other notable recording artists) are releasing (new albums) those weeks (in late summer). We don't wanna step on their release dates. So we said, 'You know what, we've got the goods. (There) ain't no doubt about it. We'll wait another couple of months.'"

Debra Messing Reunites With Eric McCormack

Former Will & Grace co-stars Debra Messing and Eric McCormack reunited in New York on Monday for the first time since their hit sitcom wrapped in 2006.

The actors were both invited to speak at the Trevor Live event in aid of the Trevor Project, a non-profit group dedicated to crisis support for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youngsters, and they stepped into the spotlight together at Manhattan's Chelsea Piers for the first time in six years.

McCormack, who portrayed gay lawyer Will Truman on the comedy  show, told the audience, "We want all LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer) kids to grow up in a world where they feel safe and equal to their straight peers", to which Messing quipped, "Equal? I'd say they're better."

The banter between the old friends continued onstage as Messing added, "I'd be devastated if my son grows up to be a hetero (sexual). As a parent you just envision a certain life for your child. I mean, if he's straight, think of all the fabulous things he's going to miss out on!"

Lindsay Lohan Settles Civil Suit

Lindsay Lohan has avoided another court case over a lawsuit relating to her 2007 arrest for driving under the influence after reaching an out-of-court settlement.

The Mean Girls star was sued in 2008 by three men who accused the actress of holding them hostage and endangering their lives after jumping into their car and embarking on a drunken drive through Malibu, California.

The alleged hijack ended with Lohan's arrest for DUI and police also reportedly found cocaine in the car. She later pleaded guilty to reckless drinking and driving and served one day in jail.

However, Lohan's legal woes from the driving drama have only now come to an end - on Wednesday, attorneys for the star and her three accusers, Ronnie Blake, Jakon Sutter and Dante Nigro, revealed they had struck a deal to stop the case from going to trial.

The terms of the agreement have not been disclosed. A dismissal notice is due to be filed in court to officially close the matter.

Lohan, who will celebrate her 26th birthday on Monday, is currently working on her career comeback and is filming her Elizabeth Taylor TV movie biopic Liz & Dick in Los Angeles.

Her driving woes continued earlier this month when she was accused of driving her Porsche into a tractor trailer on the Pacific Coast Highway on her way to the film set.

Kris Humphries Deposed by Kim’s Divorce Team

Their marriage only lasted for 72 days, but their divorce battle is turning into a long and drawn out drama, keeping fame hungry Kim in the news. This week, Kim’s divorce attorney, Laura Wasser deposed Humphries in his hometown, ahead of the impending court date.

Humphries was questioned about whether he talked to his “girlfriend” and Kimmy lookalike, Myla Sinanaj about his marriage. Kris allegedly told Sinanaj that he believes Kim cheated on him with current beau Kanye West. Sinanaj previously told TMZ that Kris confided in her about his short marriage, alleging that the sex tape which propelled Kim to fame was staged for the express purpose.

Sources say that Kris admitted to speaking generally about Kim with Sinanaj, but not about their divorce. He said in the deposition that he talked about Kim when asked questions like “What is she like in real life?”

Kris is reportedly seeking millions of dollars, but most importantly, wants to expose Kim as a fraud. He however did not present any evidence in the deposition which would prove Kim married him to drum up publicity for her reality show. Kris stated he was saving that evidence for their divorce trial.

Kris’s divorce lawyer, Lee Hutton will be flying to California to depose Kim within the next ten days.

Katy Perry Swaps Glamorous Gown For a Pop Corn Dress and Film Reel Bra

Katy Perry wore a revealing film-reel inspired bra as she burst out of a popcorn box in the middle of Hollywood Boulevard! The colorful singer nearly showed off a bit too much with her dance moves and constant bending down, giving fans a closer look at her figure. At one point she even had to adjust her bra straps to prevent any wardrobe malfunction. And as the singer took off her popcorn skirt, she then revealed her candy wrapper inspired hot pants as she sang several songs to her lucky fans. She performed the free mini concert before the premiere of her biographical movie ‘Katy Perry: Part of Me’ at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles

Cher Staging Broadway Musical About Her Life: “It’s a VERY SLOW PROCESS!"

(Hollywood Reporter)—According to Cher, there are three sides to the iconic musician -- and they will all be featured in a forthcoming Broadway musical.

The Burlesque star explained that the show would feature three important stages in her life: the first before meeting future husband Sonny Bono through the couple’s Sonny & Cher days; another after her split from Bono through her comeback Believe tour; and current day, which includes recording new music and a potential fall tour. According to the singer, the show would feature her original music.“Prod r trying 2 write musical now about my life with my music,” Cher wrote on Twitter Monday, adding that she will help write the script because, “I was there and know the stories that no one knows but me!”

“I hope it happens!” Cher added of the project. “It’s a VERY SLOW PROCESS! Been working on it quite a while now.”

As for whether the show would be a starring vehicle for the 66-year-old, Cher jokes that she may play “old Cher.”

“She’s wise n tells 2 young 1’s not 2 fear future,” she wrote.

Cher is currently working on a new album -- her 26th -- to feature what she describes as “hardcore dance” music, including one track written by Lady Gaga and produced by RedOne. In February, the singer told fans that she would be hitting the road for a tour in September.

John Travolta Facing Lawsuit By Another Masseur

Actor John Travolta has been accused of assault by a cruise steward, who alleges the movie star exposed himself during a massage.

Fabian Zanzi has become the third masseur to file a sex suit against Travolta in as many months. Two others who claimed the Pulp Fiction star acted inappropriately previously dismissed their cases.

In legal papers obtained by TMZ.com, Zanzi's attorneys claim he was working on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship in 2009, when Travolta was a passenger. The actor ordered food and asked Zanzi to deliver it to his stateroom.

The plaintiff alleges Travolta dropped his robe and exposed himself and then forcefully embraced the staffer during a neck message session.

Zanzi insists he resisted Travolta's advances and was offered $12,000 for his silence about the incident.

The masseur claims he complained about Travolta's behavior but his superiors refused to allow him to file a full report, containing details of nudity or sexual contact.

Zanzi is suing for unspecified damages.

HAPPY TOGETHER At Wesbury: Micky Dolenz Blazes On Stage— Review

Last night we were guests at the 2012 HAPPY TOGETHER tour; featuring The Buckinghams; The Grass Roots; Gary Puckett; Micky Dolenz; and, Flo &B Eddie aka The TurtlesThe Buckinghams (“Kind Of A Drag”)and The Grass Roots didn't disappoint at all as they blazed through their hits, sounding like we just heard them on the radio yesterday. The Roots in particular were spectacular; their canon of hits “Let’s Live for Today,” “Temptation Eyes” and “I’d Wait A Million years” huge crowd favorites. Last year, we lost Rob Grill, the main-Root, but you'd never know it listening to them. Gary Puckett, sans his group The Union Gap, looked great and sounded terrific. One of our group said his act these days, owed more to Tom Jones, than anything, but he delighted and the crowd. After a short break, where we hung with Dolenz’s pr-man David Salidor and Q104.3’s Jim Kerr trading show biz stories, we were back inside the cavernous Westbury-stage and Dolenz and band amped up the festivities, witnessed by the opening lines of the song “(I’m Not Your) Steppin’ Stone.” We have seen Micky numerous times, but never felt the energy like it was last night. Dressed in black, topped off with a black trilby, Dolenz put 200% into his performance. His guitarist (and, musical director) Wayne Avers, stood nearby and amped up the performance delightfully well. The loss a few months back of Dolenz’s Monkee-ally Davy Jones hung heavy in the air and Dolenz addressed it emotionally and terrifically. Saying Jones was the brother he never had, he launched into “Last Train To Clarksville” and “I’m A Believer,” which the sold-out crowd went crazy for. Throughout the whole show, there were three girls, dressed to the nines, sitting in the first row, and Dolenz addressed them directly, which was a nice touch. (I actually ran into them after the show and although all were in their early-twenties, they said this was the best show they'd ever seen … take that Justin Bieber). Dolenz’s forays into the theater-world were evidence onstage as he was so strong and compelling, you couldn’t take your eyes off him. I know he wants to do more theater and after last night’s stellar performance, I bet he'll have his share of offers come this week. Flo & Eddie were just sensational; performing their array of hits including “Happy Together” and a riveting “Elenore,” and “She’d Rather be With Me.” Though they started off described as a surf band, (CrossfiresHoward Kaylan and Mark Volman have developed into terrific performers. With the rendition of “Together,” they were joined by the performers … one by one. A terrific finale for sure. All in all, a most Happy Together evening.

Wynonna Judd Weds Cactus Moser In Intimate Ceremony

Wynonna Judd quietly wed longtime love Cactus Moser last weekend. The couple exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony at Judd’s Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee home. Judd wore a Houri Barahimi lace gown and went barefoot.

Guests include Judd’s two children and Moser’s three children, but noticeably absent were Judd’s mom Naomi Judd and sister Ashley Judd. "If I know Ashley, she would have re-positioned my dress, or Mom would have given me a Kleenex to stuff in my bra, or told me, I have something in my teeth. I just didn't want that. I just wanted to get married!" Judd tells Us Weekly magazine.

"I didn't want it to be about anyone but Cactus and me," she adds. "Because to me, at the end of the day, it's the children, Cactus, and me . . I was so concerned about making this feel special for them, everything fell away."

Moser, 50, proposed on Christmas Eve last year. This is the third marriage for Judd, 48.

Hilary Duff: I Don’t Smoke, Cigarette Picture Is Misleading

Hilary Duff wants to set the record straight about a recent picture of her holding a cigarette outside Rock and Reilly's Irish Pub in Los Angeles. In a tweet earlier this week the former Disney star says she is “pretty bummed” about the photo because she does not smoke.

“Yikes! Me holding a cigarette for my friend might have been a bad idea! Pretty bummed about the photo," she wrote. "Sorry guys. It looks worse than it is!"

The 24-year-old welcomed her first child with husband Mike Comrie on March 20. Duff recently opened up to Bethenny Frankel about her desire to lose the baby weight. “I am working out and I’m trying and trying not to [obsess]. Everyone wants their body back, but all in time. It took nine months to get there and so hopefully, it won’t take that long to get it off, but I’m doing it slowly,” she said.

The Wrecking Crew: I Simply Had To Go Get "Wrecked" A Second Time!

By Anne M. Raso

Denny Tedesco, son of legendary "Wrecking Crew" axeman Tommy Tedesco, has been holding screenings of his wonderful documentary for two or three years now in the hopes of raising the money to cover the soundtrack for this film that features dozens of the greatest 60s hits (and classic "non-hits"). The tab is something like 180 grand, and in the back of my head, I often wonder how someone of the more successful artists interviewed for the documentary can't just pitch in the entire amount. (Certainly Cher has spent more than that on plastic surgery, LOL!) Nancy Sinatra could probably throw in a few bucks as well.

There are always surprises at the screenings of the film--the one I went to in Brooklyn last year included an impromptu performance of "Be My Baby" by Ronnie Spector (who, of course, is featured in the film since her ex Phil Spector worked with the ace musicians of the Wrecking Crew on an almost weekly basis). Last week's screening at the Cutting Room in midtown Manhattan included two after-show bonuses: Tedesco interviewing Tommy Lipuma who was one of the great record producers of the 60s and 70sand a special performance of The Sixties Show, a great tribute band featuring the legendary Liberty DeVitto on the skins. Spotted in the crowd were some other legendary skinpounders, the most notable being Carmine Appice, as well as author May Pang.  To say DeVitto's group is a tribute band is kind of not totally correct--while they cover many of the great hits of the Kinks and even the Moody Blues (doing a killer rendition of "Tuesday Afternoon"), they are truly all A List musicians.

If you have not caught The Wrecking Crew, well, take a look at the schedule at www.thewreckingcrew.tv. The film makes the rounds cross-country and is often shown at music festivals and conventions. I would also suggest following The Wrecking Crew on Twitter (@WreckCrewFilm) and liking it on Facebook (www.facebook.com/WreckingCrewFilm).

And in case you're curious, Denny Tedesco never got to meet any of the stars his dad worked with (and he worked with hundreds--everyone from The Beach Boys to Frank Sinatra and back again). I am still trying to wrap my head around that, but I guess Tommy Tedesco was the type of guy who liked to keep his work and private lives separate. Tedesco told me a little about his personal favorite cuts that his dad played on: “The fun ones are (the themes from) Batman, Green Acres and Bonanza...and then (I love) his work with The 5th Dimension, especially ‘Up, Up And Away.’  I also love (his work on) Elvis's comeback special and (the Elvis song) ‘Memories.’”

One thing's for sure--TT certainly was a versatile player (especially gifted in the Spanish style even more so than rock 'n roll), and the footage of him later in life (especially in drag on The Gong Show) is something I won't soon forget!

Lindsay Lohan's Taylor Biopic Under Investigation

Lindsay Lohan's Elizabeth Taylor biopic is under investigation by two acting labor groups after she collapsed with exhaustion on June 15th.

Lohan had a health scare after she was reportedly found passed out in her California hotel suite. Lohan later explained she was simply exhausted after "working 85 hours in 4 days" on her comeback movie Liz & Dick.

Two other crew members allegedly left the production due to exhaustion, and now bosses at International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) and SAG-AFTRA have launched a probe.

IATSE division director Mike Miller says, "The IATSE is on top of the situation on the set of Lifetime's Liz & Dick. We have had union representatives on the set ... and will continue to monitor the hours and working conditions there."

"We take very seriously the safety and wellbeing of our crews, and are dedicated to seeing that they are protected from hazardous working conditions."

Meanwhile a SAG-AFTRA spokeswoman tells TheWrap.com, "We have thoroughly investigated this matter and our business representatives have visited, and will continue to visit, the set of Liz & Dick. We have spoken with representatives from the company and they are fully aware of their contractual obligations. We will ensure that all applicable penalties will be paid."

Britney Spears Opens Up About Being An X Factor Judge

Now that Britney Spears has settled into her gig on The X Factor, the pop star is opening up about what it is like to judge auditions. Speaking to FOX411 after auditions in Oakland this week, Spears insisted she is fair and not too tough on contestants.

“I’m a fair judge. Sometimes it is hard because I know what they’ve been through, and been so young. It’s such a subtle and delicate situation when they’re that young. So you just have to use constructive criticism and be there for them and show them support,” Spears told FOX411.

The 30-year-old said Simon Cowell is the hardest of the judges to please. “I don’t think I’m the toughest judge at all. I definitely think Simon would have to be the toughest judge,” she added. “But I’m just looking for something that shows spark and spunk and someone that is meant to do what they are doing.”

Spears and Cowell are joined at the judges table by Disney star Demi Lovato and record producer L.A. Reid.

Jim Carrey Quits Dumb and Dumber Sequel

Jim Carrey has confirmed he is no longer on board to reprise his role as Lloyd Christmas in the upcoming Dumb and Dumber sequel. Carrey’s departure has cast doubts on whether New Line and Warner Brothers will move forward with the project.

"I would have thought Dumb and Dumber To was a no-brainer," Carrey says in a statement. "After all, it's implied in the title."

Insiders tell ETOnline Carrey, 50, decided to drop out of the project because New Line and Warner Brothers "showed a lack of enthusiasm.” Reps for the studios have not commented.

Directors Peter and Bobby Farrelly and actor Jeff Daniels are set to return for Dumb and Dumber 2. Filming is scheduled to begin in September.

Carrey can be seen next alongside Steve Carell and James Gandolfini in Burt Wonderstone.

Henson Company And BBC Developing New Muppet T.V. Series

The Jim Henson Company is developing a new Muppets television series titled "No Strings Attached" that will appear on the BBC. The lead writer on the new program is Danny Baker, a longtime writer for and presenter on British television.

Baker hit Twitter earlier this week to let the cat out of the bag:

"I'm writing the new Muppet/Puppet show for BBC/Henson. There I've said it."

Baker joins a team of veterans from the Henson company including lead puppeteer Brian Henson and puppet makers from Henson's own production shop in Los Angeles. The series will feature the Muppets spending time with two celebrities each week and hosting games.

It will appear on BBC1, and the network calls the series a "warm, cheeky, family affair fuelled by a healthy dose of off-the-wall, madcap fun."

The Rolling Stones Plan Anniversary Event

The Rolling Stones are planning a summer summit in London to discuss plans for a 50th anniversary concert later this year, according to band insiders.

Mick Jagger and his bandmates teamed up for rehearsals in New York in April and now guitarist Keith Richards has confirmed there are more sessions planned for July.

He tells Rolling Stone magazine, "It's all very hush-hush. I'm going over to London for a bit, so I'll find out more then."

And he also hints that the band may be recording a follow-up to 2005's A Bigger Bang: "We're going to talk about that in July and see. I mean, I'd love to get some tracks down and see what songs we've got. And that goes along with part of getting the band back together and getting things moving. So I'd love to cut some tracks, yeah."

Katy Perry Turns into a Butterfly at the MuchMusic Awards

She may have walked away with just two awards at the event, but Katy Perry made sure she still owned the MuchMusic Awards in Toronto last night.

The 27-year-old arrived on the red carpet dressed in a black and gold gown with cartoon princess hair. She then toned it down with a prim pair of black trousers and a cream and black lace high necked fitted top.

But the flourish came when Katy rocked a butterfly outfit for her performance of new single ‘Wide Awake’.

Bennett tells Britain's Metro newspaper, "She's a very talented person. I was with her parents recently and they said she'd like to make an album with me. I'd like to do that, too. I'm looking forward to it."

Russell Brand Gets Upset During Interview

Funnyman Russell Brand flew into a rage after he was questioned about his split from Katy Perry.

The British comedian was promoting his new movie musical Rock Of Ages on The Graham Norton Show when the Irish host asked him about his failed marriage.

Brand looked into the audience at his mom Barbara in the front row, then turned to Norton and accused him of making her tear up.

He ranted, "My mom is here. She got upset when you dragged up my marriage. I saw her cry, Graham. That's the reality because it's real people, Graham, that's my real mom. I have come here to promote a film and you made my mom cry. I don't see you as that sort of person Graham."

Norton insisted, "I don't see myself as that kind of person," and explained that it would have seemed "weird" not to ask about Perry as she had been a guest on the show last week.

Brand retaliated, "Will people sit and think, 'Oh, that's odd.' What I would have done, mate, in your position is come up to me before the show and gone, 'Listen, it's a bit odd that your ex-missus was on last week. I might mention it, is that OK?' But in all of the chatting and the research backstage, no one mentioned it."

When Brand finally chatted about his failed union, he said, "Some human beings get married and hopefully it works out for them and maybe it won't. If people get divorced, maybe that is a sad thing."

The heated exchange was edited from the episode when it aired on Friday.

Lindsay Lohan Evaluated By Paramedics After All Night Filming

Lindsay Lohan was evaluated by paramedics Friday morning after she was found unconscious in her room at the Ritz Carlton hotel in Marina Del Ray, the Los Angeles County Fire Department has confirmed. The actress was not taken to a hospital as previously reported.

"We received a call at 10:15 this morning at 4375 Admiralty Way in Marina Del Rey," says a Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesman. "We received a call about an unconscious person possibly in their 20s. The person was evaluated at the scene and not transported at the hospital."

Lohan’s rep Steve Honig says the actress was suffering from exhaustion and dehydration because she filmed scenes for the Elizabeth Taylor biopic Liz & Dick all night. "Lindsay worked a grueling schedule the past few days. She was on set last night at 7 pm and worked through the night until 8 am this morning. She took a nap before shooting her scene," Honig said. "Producers were concerned when she did not come out of her room and called paramedics as a precaution."

“She is resting now, and is hoping to be back on set later this afternoon,” he added.

Lohan, who has a history of drug and alcohol abuse, was reportedly treated at a Los Angeles hospital last week after hitting a semi truck in her Porsche on Pacific Coast Highway. The car sustained severe damage including a shattered window and a crushed bumper.

The 25-year-old was taken off probation in her 2007 DUI arrests just two months ago because she fulfilled all of her probation requirements. Lohan will remain on informal probation in her 2011 necklace theft case until May 24, 2014. If Lohan breaks any laws before that date, she could face up to 245 days in jail.
