Elton John Calls Truce With Madonna

Sir Elton John has said that his nearly decade-long war of words with Madonna has come to an end.

The pair has been exchanging insults since 2004, when John, 66, accused Madonna of lip-syncing in her live concerts.

Even the 54-year-old's husband David Furnish criticised her directing career, declaring that "she should stick to what she's good at," during last year's Golden Globes ceremony,

But relations apparently hit rock bottom last August when Sir Elton told an Australian TV channel that Madonna "looks like a fairground stripper" and said that "her career is over - she's such a nightmare".

Earlier, John claimed that his comments were intended to be off the record, so when the feuding pop stars coincidentally dined at the same restaurant in France, a few days later, he felt obliged to apologise.

Now, he has told US television show Extra that he sent over a note as the Queen of Pop came to the restaurant.

John said that Madonna was very gracious and he apologised profusely because what he said should never have appeared in public.

"She accepted our apology and then we bought her dinner. She was really great about it. I was very relieved because she had every right to say 'I don't want to talk'," he said.

A few days later Madonna dedicated a song to him at a concert in Nice.

Monkees Announce 2013 Full Tour Dates!

The Monkees are returning to the road in July for a 24-date American tour they are dubbing “A Midsummer’s Night With the Monkees.” As was the case on their reunion tour in late 2012, it will feature surviving members Michael Nesmith, Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork. “The reaction to the last tour was euphoric,” Micky Dolenz tells Rolling Stone. “It was pretty apparent there was a demand for another one.”

The show will present the Monkees’ songs in chronological order, utilizing archival video and photographs to tell their story. The evening begins with early hits like “Last Train to Clarksville” and “I’m a Believer” before focusing on their 1967 LP Headquarters and then wrapping up with material from their final albums, such as “Pleasant Valley Sunday” and “Listen to the Band.”

Last year’s Monkees tour marked the group’s first American concerts with Michael Nesmith since he left the group in 1970. (He did reunite with the group for a brief U.K. tour in 1997.) “We always kept his songs in the setlist,” says Dolenz. “But when he sings the leads it brings a whole different feel and dynamic to the band . . . The two of us had such a nice blend on those early records. It was two-part harmonies like the Everly Brothers.”

Michael Nesmith’s mother invented Liquid Paper and left him a considerable fortune when she passed away. He mostly stayed clear from the music world during the past few decades, but around 2011 he began playing small solo gigs. “I saw him with the Watkins Family at Largo a couple of years ago,” says Nesmith. “This is before the Monkees reunited in 2011, and before David [Jones] passed. Mike said to me, ‘I just started listening to my own songs. I realized that stuff wasn’t half bad. Then I just started picking up my guitar and playing a bit. It sounded pretty good.’”

Monkees fans erupted with euphoria when he returned to the stage last year. “That went a long way towards convincing him that people do want to see him again and hear his songs,” says Dolenz. “It’s almost like, ‘How can you not do it?’”

Davy Jones passed away in February of 2012, and the group’s tour later that year paid tribute to him many times throughout the night. “This time we probably won’t lean so heavily on the David situation,” says Dolenz. “I think we have to move on. Everybody has to move on. He’ll always be remembered and acknowledged, but possibly not as much as on that particular tour. We will, of course, still perform ‘Daydream Believer’ and all the other hits.”

There are no firm plans beyond these summer dates in America, but Dolenz expects the tour to keep going. “I can be frank and tell you we are thinking about taking it everywhere,” he says. “There’s always been interest in Japan, Eurasia and Australia and New Zealand. There’s a huge fan base in South America and Brazil in specific, which we’ve never really tapped into. There’s also talk about Europe and the U.K.”

The Monkees haven’t recorded a new album since 1996′s JustUs. “I’d love to make a new one,” says Dolenz. “We haven’t had any discussions about that beyond, ‘Wouldn’t it be cool to have a new one?’ We’re just taking this whole thing one step at a time.”

Tickets for the tour begin going on sale May 3rd. Here are the complete dates:

Matt Damon Describes Difficulty in Filming at Garbage Dump

Actor Matt Damon battled disgusting conditions while shooting his new movie Elysium in the world's largest garbage dump as the actor was breathing in dust formed from feces.

The Bourne Identity star leads the cast of South African director Neill Blomkamp's new sci-fi film, set on a ravaged future Earth, which features scenes shot on location at a huge landfill site in Mexico.

Damon has revealed members of the film crew wore gas masks to protect themselves from the dust which swirled around the site, but the actors had to breath the foul air.

He says, "(It was) the toughest two weeks of shooting I've ever had... (We had to) literally eat s**t... It was explained to us that, like any dump anywhere in the world, the dust is actually comprised largely of fecal matter. After they tell you that the dust is all fecal matter, then they see what you're doing (on set), they go, 'You know, not your dust... all the other dust!' So, at the end of every day, as we'd wipe this stuff off, we'd be basically throwing these s**tty towels at each other."

Damon admits the cast and crew saw the funny side of the situation, adding, "For instance one of (the locations) was called Poo River. Literally, that was, 'OK, can we get everybody down to Poo River for scene 36?'"

However, the star insists the tough shoot was worth it: "Neill just said, 'Look, I know I can do a lot with a green screen... but I've never seen a giant set-piece in a sci-fi film in a setting like that'. Everybody on the crew recognized that it was a really good idea and it was going to be worth it. It's really one of the best sequences in the movie and I'm really proud of it."

Bowie Describes New Album With Bizarre 42-Word Statement

Reclusive singer David Bowie has broken his silence about his new album, titled "The Next Day", by releasing a bizarre 42-word statement summing up the record.

The icon's comeback was announced on his website on January 8, the day of his 66th birthday, but Bowie has not commented directly on his return to music until now.

A writer for TheRumpus.net reached out to the Ashes to Ashes hitmaker for a "work flow diagram" on his new album, and the star replied with 42 words.

Violence, identity, isolation and tyrant are among the descriptions used, and writer Rick Moody turned Bowie's statement into an article of more than 12,000 words.

Woman Loses Most Expensive Prize Ever On ‘Price Is Right’: Ferarri 458 Spider

The following article originally appeared on WallStreetInsanity.com

The Price Is Right has been giving away some sweet rides lately. For a while there, contestants were getting a string of el-cheapos like Geos and Kias. And don’t get me wrong, a new car is a new car. But don’t even try to tell me the suspense isn’t hella more incredible when the prize at stake is a Porsche, a Tesla or even a Farrari.

Frenzy ensued April 25 when one young contestant on the Price Is Right was offered the chance to win the most expense prize in the show’s history, the Ferrari 458 Spider. (Watch the clip here) The 560-horsepower V8 engine hardtop convertible is equipped with a seven-speed transmission. It features satellite radio, navigation, Bluetooth, as well as front and rear parking sensors. The car can go from 0 to 62 miles-per-hour in less than 3.4 seconds, and its aluminum hardtop can be lowered or raised in just 14 seconds.

All Therese had to do for the Ferrari to be hers was correctly arrange six numbers in the exact order. OK, it was a little trickier than all that. The Three Strikes Game requires a player to pull numbers out of sack and correctly place them in price of the car—in this case $285,716. But if Therese drew three “X” chips before she got the price right, game over. Therese struck out. Damn, it must have sucked to be her in that moment.

But is it more exciting to watch a contestant lose a dream car like a Ferrari Spider or win a lame-by-comparison prize like a Huyndai Elantra? Sure, maybe you can buy 20 Elantras for every Spider, but who cares if you lose in the end, right? Plus, what average Joe appearing on the Price is Right can even afford to drive a Ferrari if he actually won? No, Marc here definitely got the better end of the stick, and there was a shit-ton more celebration in the end.

Reese Witherspoon Glad To Be Home With Family After Arrest

In the wake of her surprising arrest, Reese Witherspoon is glad to be back home in L.A. with her children.

"She is happy to be home with her kids again. She didn't feel good about being away from them after the news of her arrest broke," says a source. "Her kids are everything to her."

People magazine reports Witherspoon called Ava, 13, and Deacon, 9, - her children with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe – to tell them what happened before it hit the news. Witherspoon is also mom to 7-month-old Tennessee with husband Jim Toth.

The 37-year-old actress was arrested in Atlanta on Friday, April 19 for disorderly conduct after she mouthed off to an officer and refused to listen to his instructions as he arrested Toth, 42, for drunk driving. A source close to the couple says they are “evaluating” their actions. “It was a really bad decision on both their parts and trust me, they're evaluating that and they will make damn sure it doesn't happen again,” says the source.

Witherspoon, who was in Atlanta to film The Good Lie, issued an apology soon after her arrest. “Out of respect for the ongoing legal situation, I cannot comment on everything that is being reported right now. But I do want to say, I clearly had one drink too many and I am deeply embarrassed about the things I said," she said. "It was definitely a scary situation and I was frightened for my husband, but that is no excuse. I was disrespectful to the officer who was just doing his job. The words I used that night definitely do not reflect who I am. I have nothing but respect for the police and I'm very sorry for my behavior."

Illegal Narcotics Found On Justin Bieber Tour Bus

Swedish police confirm a small amount of illegal narcotics were found on Justin Bieber’s tour bus in a raid Wednesday night. Stockholm police spokesman Varg Gyllander did not specify what kind of drugs was found.

The bus was outside a Stockholm hotel when an officer noticed a suspicious odor emanating from the vehicle. The officer contacted the narcotics unit, who then raided the bus when it was parked at Stockholm’s Global Arena. A stun gun was confiscated along with the drugs. Neither Bieber, 19, nor his team were on board the bus at the time of the search.

Police press officer Lars Bystrom tells Us Weekly magazine no one will be charged since the bus was empty and the drugs can’t be linked to a suspect. "The drugs have been sent for analysis and the stun gun has been seized, however because at the time of the raid the bus was empty, no suspects have been linked to the findings. We do not have any concrete suspicions against any specific individual," Bystrom explained. "There are no hearings planned over this. Myself and my colleagues are confident in this decision."

Bieber has not directly commented on the raid, but on Thursday he indicated on Twitter that the latest round of rumors about him are not true. "Some of the rumors about me . . . where do people even get this stuff," he wrote. "Whatever . . . back to the music."

The singer arrived in Finland on Thursday. He will perform at the Helsinki Arena Friday night.

Justin Bieber Risks Losing His Pet Monkey

The animal shelter officials who are babysitting Justin Bieber's monkey have given the pop star until May 17 to provide them with his pet's paperwork - or risk losing his furry friend.
German customs authorities, who seized Mally, a 17-week-old capuchin monkey, on March 28 when the teenager failed to produce the required papers after landing in Munich while on tour, have refused Bieber's requests to rehouse the monkey in a zoo.
And now he faces losing his pet, who has been quarantined at a Munich Animal Protection League shelter.
Customs spokesman Thomas Meister tells the Associated Press, "If by May 17 there is nothing, then he loses ownership of the animal and it becomes the property of the Federal Republic of Germany."

Insider: Bachelor Couple Sean Lowe And Catherine Giudici Broke Celibacy Vow

Bachelor Sean Lowe’s vow of celibacy was made up for the sake of the show and his parents, according
to an insider. In the new issue of Life and Style magazine, the source claims Lowe and fiancé Catherine Giudici “definitely had sex” before getting engaged.
“Yes, they definitely had sex,” says the source. “The first time was the night he proposed in Thailand.”
It seems getting intimate before marriage is a requirement for Giudici. “Catherine has always respected Sean wanting to show his Christian side, but she honestly would never marry him without making sure they had sexual chemistry,” the insider tells Life and Style. “It’s all for the show and his parents.”
After the season finale of The Bachelor last month, the couple told People magazine they would wait until after their wedding to get intimate. "From my perspective, I've lived life kind of selfishly for a long time. Now, I'm going to try to live it the way I know to be right,” explained Lowe, who is a Christian.
"I honor him," Giudici added.

Musician Dominick Dipietrantonio Goes Hollywood

Long Island’s own Dominick Dipietrantonio has just launched his new web site (http://dominickdipietrantonio.com) and is back in the studio working on his debut album. Dom, who wrote the song, “Only One For Me” for Courtney Zito’s web-series Hollywood Girl, is writing more music for the show as well. The song has been running on the show for the past several months, creating major industry buzz. The show, scripted by Zito, is based on her real life experiences (both comic and blundering) in Hollywood. She plays Quinn Monroe, a self-proclaimed cliché (aspiring actress by day and waitress by night). According to Dom, “I really love the whole concept of the show and was immediately drawn to writing songs for it.” And, regarding his forthcoming album, “Having finally gotten to the point of creating my own album, I want to really give it everything. Sure, they’ll be upbeat material, but I really want to feature everything that’s going on inside my head.” Sessions are underway and a fall-release is expected.

On The Radio: MARK GEARGOS ON XM'S BRETT WINTERBLE

XM’s BRETT WINTERBLE’s interview tonight with celebrity attorney MARK GERAGOS (promoting his new book with Pat Harris, Mistrial: An Inside Look At How The Criminal Justice System Works … And Sometimes Doesn’t) resulted in a few revelations from the famous barrister, who’s represented everyone from Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, Winona Ryder, Mike Tyson, and Scott Peterson.

Winterble asked him about the inherent pressure as a celebrity trail looms. Geragos said, “You’ve got to trust your game … and, keep a laser focus.” Winterble also asked him about the jury in a bold-faced names situation, saying usually “You’re dealing with a jury that tried to get out of jury duty.” Geragos replied, “It’s somewhat reversed, where you have a jury really fixated on getting involved with a celebrity trial. I remember during the Robert Blake trial (who Gerragos briefly represented), there was a juror holding a self-made CD outside the court.”

Partner Pat Harris said that “The justice system is often at odds with the legal system; we remind every client we’ll get you through the legal system.”

For Second Time, 'Futurama' Series Gets Cancelled

For the second time in its existence, animated comedy series Futurama has been axed again -- three years after returning to the small screen.

The show, created in 1999 by The Simpsons mastermind Matt Groening, was initially scrapped by bosses at America's Fox network in 2003 following a sharp decline in ratings.

It was revived by Comedy Central executives for a new series in 2010, but now they have announced that its current season seven will be its last on their channel.

The remaining episodes will air this summer before wrapping up for good on Sept. 4, according to EW.com.

However, Groening is hopeful Futurama will be picked up by another network for the future: "We would love to continue. We have many more stories to tell."

Sandra Bullock to Host Movie Screening for Boston Cops

Sandra Bullock in a scene from The Heat.

Actress Sandra Bullock will host a special screening of her new Boston-set movieThe Heat for the city's police force in the aftermath of the horrific marathon bombing.

The Hollywood actress plays an FBI agent who is sent to work on a case in Boston alongside a local cop, played by Melissa McCarthy, in the new crime comedy.

Movie bosses have now decided to honor the emergency workers affected by the Boston Marathon bombing last week by hosting a special screening for them in the city.

Bullock tells CNN.com, "It's been an amazing tight knit community before this happened, and it just bonded a community even more. I don't think a screening would ever be enough (or) feel like it's enough to do for them."

Director Paul Feig adds, "The movie is such a love letter to Boston. A lot of our cast are Boston people, either born or raised. So we really would like to support that city. I love that city."

A spokeswoman for 20th Century Fox has confirmed a date has yet to be set for the event, but it will be "a special screening in the town where it was shot".

The Heat features an acting turn by New Kids on the Block singer Joey McIntyre, who crossed the finish line of the Boston Marathon just minutes before two bombs exploded, killing three people and injuring more than 175.

The Heat is due for release in June.

Reese Witherspoon: I’m “Deeply Embarrassed” About Disorderly Conduct Arrest

Now that she is sober, Reese Witherspoon is regretting the words and actions that got her arrested in Atlanta, Georgia early Friday morning. In a statement released Sunday, the actress admitted that she is “deeply embarrassed” by the incident. The 37-year-old was in Atlanta to film The Good Lie.

"Out of respect for the ongoing legal situation, I cannot comment on everything that is being reported right now. But I do want to say, I clearly had one drink too many and I am deeply embarrassed about the things I said," Witherspoon said. "It was definitely a scary situation and I was frightened for my husband, but that is no excuse. I was disrespectful to the officer who was just doing his job. The words I used that night definitely do not reflect who I am. I have nothing but respect for the police and I'm very sorry for my behavior."

Witherspoon was taken into custody for disorderly conduct because she refused to listen to an officer while her husband, Jim Toth, was arrested for drunk driving. According to authorities, the couple was pulled over after an officer noticed them driving in the wrong lane. The officer then observed that Toth, 42, smelled of alcohol and had bloodshot, watery eyes. Toth and Witherspoon admitted to having drinks at a restaurant two hours before the traffic stop.

While Toth was given a field sobriety test, Witherspoon got out of the car at least twice. She was instructed to remain in the car both times, and was warned that she would be arrested if she disobeyed again. "Mrs. Witherspoon began to hang out the window and say that she did not believe that I was a real police officer. I told Mrs. Witherspoon to sit on her butt and be quiet," the officer wrote in his report.

As Toth was being arrested, Witherspoon got out of the car to confront the officer. She refused to return to her car and declared she was allowed to stand on “American ground” as she is a “US citizen.” The officer proceeded to place Witherspoon under arrest. She resisted briefly, but was calmed down by Toth.

“Mrs. Witherspoon asked, 'Do you know my name?' I answered, 'No, I don't need to know your name.' I then added, 'Right now.' Mrs. Witherspoon stated, 'You're about to find out who I am.'... Mrs. Witherspoon also stated, 'You're going to be on national news.' I advised Mrs. Witherspoon that was fine,” the officer revealed in his report.

The couple was taken to an Atlanta jail where Toth was booked for DUI and failure to maintain his lane and Witherspoon was booked for disorderly conduct. They were released on bond around 3:30 a.m. Friday.

Witherspoon hit the red carpet with Toth in New York Sunday night for the premiere of her new movie Mud. She posed for pictures, but did not speak to reporters.

Selena Gomez Travels To Norway To Be With Justin Bieber

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber apparently can’t let go of their relationship. This week, Gomez traveled to Oslo, Norway to attend Bieber’s concert. She reportedly touched down as the show was beginning and was waiting backstage at Telenor Arena when Bieber finished.

"They have a crazy connection. They just can't seem to break their connection. It can be intense,” a source tells Us Weekly magazine.

Gomez, 20, and Bieber, 19, called it quits in January. About a month later Gomez was photographed leaving Bieber’s L.A. home following an overnight stay. "It never ends," an insider told Us Weekly at the time. "We'll see. It's such drama with them."

In March, Gomez confirmed the breakup in an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman. “…I'm single. I'm so good,” the Spring Breakers actress said.

Bieber was spotted at her home later that month.

Robert Downey Jr. Says Days as 'Iron Man' are Numbered

Actor Robert Downey, Jr. is convinced his days as Iron Man are numbered because his body doesn't bounce back from injury like it used to.

The action buff has played the role of the Marvel Comics superhero for years, but after recently blowing out his ankle in North Carolina while filming a stunt for Iron Man 3, causing a delay in production, he's not sure how much longer he can play Tony Stark's alter-ego.

He tells GQ magazine, "It got me thinking about how big the message from your cosmic sponsor needs to be before you pick it up. How many genre movies can I do? How many follow-ups to a successful follow-up are actually fun?"

And the actor wouldn't be surprised if producers refuse to renew his $50 million contract in favor of taking the franchise in another direction.

He adds, "Right now, I don't have a contract to do anything, and I did for the last five years. Fortunately I've been around the block enough - I'm not ill-prepared. And I love change."

But the 48-year-old knows it will be hard to say goodbye to the beloved character when it's time to hang up the armor, adding, "At whatever point I'm done with this, I'm going to have a bit of a crisis, because I probably haven't even fully ingested how much I've enjoyed it, how much it's meant."

Harrison Ford Lets Curse Slip on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Actor Harrison Ford got bleeped on TV on Wednesday as he let the 'f' word slip while talking about his experience on the baseball mound at Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles on Monday.

The movie star tossed the ceremonial first pitch on the hallowed turf as part of the Dodgers' tribute night to sporting hero Jackie Robinson. Ford, who stars as the club's late general manager Branch Rickey in the new Robinson biopic 42, admits he was inundated with advice from friends after they learned he would be taking to the mound.

The Star Wars star's effort wasn't great - but he admits he refused to take heed of the advice he was offered, telling late-night chat show host Jimmy Kimmel, "I got a lot of conflicting advice from all kinds of people that pretended to know how you throw out the first ball.

"A lot of people said, 'Don't go to the mound because it's kind of long... and you might...' and I thought, 'F**k that'."

Realizing he had uttered a swear work on national TV, the actor paused and covered his mouth with his hand.

Ford then revealed he did practice in his back yard, adding, "We went 62-and-a-half feet in my back yard and my son, who is 12, caught and we talked about it a lot because I didn't want to embarrass him; he's a baseball player. And I've got a 47-year-old son, who pitched for USC and he told me what he thought I ought to do."

Miley Cyrus And Liam Hemsworth Put Off Summer Wedding

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth will not be walking down the aisle any time soon, according to an insider. The couple has decided to put summer wedding plans on hold as they “figure out” life.

"They want to figure out their life together before they get married," the source tells People magazine. "They're still engaged and living together. They just realized that there is no rush with the wedding and that it's better that they wait a bit."

Cyrus’ father Billy Ray Cyrus recently expressed his doubts that the wedding will ever happen. “I don’t know (if they will get married). I really don’t. I play it by ear and I know whatever is meant to be, that’s the way it’s going to happen,” he said.

Hemsworth, 23, proposed to Cyrus, 20, with a 3.5-carat Neil Lane ring last May. "I'm so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam," Cyrus told People magazine at the time.

Stars Help Robert De Niro Open Tribeca Film Festival

Actresses Whoopi Goldberg, Evan Rachel Wood and Sienna Miller helped Robert De Niro kick off the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival on Tuesday by attending the annual Vanity Fair gala in New York.

The bash, hosted by Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter and festival co-founders De Niro and Jane Rosenthal, is traditionally held on the eve of the Big Apple movie event and a slew of celebrities flocked to New York's State Supreme Courthouse to celebrate.

Pregnant Wood and British beauty Miller both attended the party without their respective partners, Jamie Bell and Tom Sturridge, while fellow guests included Goldberg, Mira Sorvino, Gretchen Mol, model Karolina Kurkova, director Baz Luhrmann, Jimmy Buffett, actor Christopher Walken and author Salman Rushdie.

Security at the Manhattan venue was stepped up in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombing on Monday, but Rosenthal insisted the event had to go on.

She said, "Our hearts are with everyone in Boston. We can't let terror or fear deter us from doing anything, so we're going on with our film festival and, as the President (Barack Obama) and the Mayor (Michael Bloomberg) says, we're gonna keep on doing what we do."

The Tribeca Film Festival officially opened on Wednesday and runs until April 28.

Robert Downey, Jr. Predicts at Least One Oscar Win

Actor Robert Downey, Jr. is convinced that it's only a matter of time before he is on stage collecting an Oscar for Best Actor.

The Iron Man star has twice been nominated for an Academy Award, once for 1992's Chaplin and again in 2008 for his comedic turn in Tropic Thunder.

However, Downey, Jr. has no problems about missing out on Hollywood's biggest prize to Al Pacino and Heath Ledger respectively, because he knows he will eventually hold the fabled golden statuette in his hand.

He tells GQ, "I know it's going to happen. That's just a fact. I, personally, would be shocked if we went to the end of the tape now and I didn't have at least one. Because it just doesn't make sense. That's why I don't mind showing up and watching everybody else get them."

Despite his self-confidence, the actor insists he doesn't strive for critical acclaim, adding, "I don't care. I used to think I cared, and I couldn't care less. Now, I'm not saying I wouldn't get a little choked up, but it is amazing to see how people are literally hyperventilating when they get up there, because they have such an attachment to this outcome. I mean, it's not like we're at the Olympics or something."

Prince Harry Will Still Participate in London Marathon

Prince Harry will honor a commitment to appear at the London Marathon this weekend, despite security concerns following the horrific bombings at the Boston Marathon on Monday.

Organizers of the London race have vowed to press on with the event on Sunday and are working closely with Metropolitan Police officials to increase safety checks in the hopes of preventing a similar tragedy.

Prince Harry is booked to present medals to the top runners at the end of the race and a spokesperson for the young British royal has confirmed he will still be in attendance.

The representative tells Eonline.com, "We announced last week that Prince Harry would attend this year's London marathon in his capacity as Patron of the London Marathon Charitable Trust, and that he would make the presentations to the winners and meet a selection of volunteer and support staff. As things stand we are not aware of any changes to that plan but ultimately we will be directed by the Race organizers."

Meanwhile, Welsh opera singer Katherine Jenkins insists the Boston bombings have spurred her on to compete in the run as planned.

Taking to Twitter.com, she writes, "Want to let you know that I will definitely still be running the London Marathon on Sun. I'm determined now more than ever PrayForBoston".

At least three people died and more than 150 were injured, many of them seriously, when two huge explosions ripped through a crowd of spectators watching the Boston Marathon in Massachusetts on Monday.

New Kids on the Block star Joey McIntyre was among the estimated 20,000 runners taking part in the annual event, but he escaped the brunt of the carnage after crossing the finish line just 11 minutes before the bombs went off.

Local stars Ben Affleck, John Krasinski, Dane Cook and Chris Evans are among the celebrities who have expressed their horror at the attacks, which are being probed by agents at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as an act of terrorism.

Authorities have yet to name any suspects in the case.

Harrison Ford Says He Owes His Career to Restroom Incident

Veteran actor Harrison Ford has said he owes his movie career to a fortuitous restroom break at Columbia Pictures more than four decades ago.

The Indiana Jones star was leaving the building after a less-than stellar audition with a top casting director when he stopped to relieve himself, and he still believes what happened next was a stroke of luck that propelled his film fortunes.

As he left the restroom, he bumped into the director's assistant.

He recalls, "I don't think that assistant would have run that much farther to get me. But he found me, and I left Columbia that day with a seven-year contract... I've been lucky."

Celebrities Nationwide Paying Attention to Boston Tragedy

Lindsay Lohan, Eva Longoria and Lil Wayne have offered their thoughts and prayers to those injured after two mysterious explosions rocked the Boston Marathon route in Massachusetts on Monday.

As news footage took over TV networks across America, worried Lohan took to Twitter.com to share her thoughts, writing in a post, "Sending prayers to everyone who was/is at the #bostonmarathon."

Rapper Lil Wayne was also watching the news unfold and tweeted: "Prayers for Boston," while actress Chloe Moretz added, "Boston marathon, absolutely terrifying I hope everyone is okay... Horrific things happening in the world today. God bless those who have died and are injured."

Longoria was shocked by the news reports, too. She tweeted: "God Bless everyone in Boston... God be with the injured people!" Others offering their thoughts and prayers include Kelly Osbourne, Josh Duhamel and British singer/songwriter Billy Bragg, who is on tour in America.

Meanwhile, New Kids on the Black star Joey McIntyre has revealed he was caught up in the chaos following the blasts, after crossing the finish line minutes before the incident.

The Boston native tweets, "There was an explosion by the finish line about 5 minutes after I finished - I'm ok but I'm sure there are many hurt."

McIntyre included a self-taken photo of himself finishing the race.

Matt Damon Stumped By Criticism of New Film

Actor Matt Damon has spoken out in defense of his movie Promised Land, as he doesn't understand the criticism of the 2012 film.

The Bourne Identity star wrote the screenplay for the drama with The Office actor John Krasinski, and he initially wanted to direct, but scheduling problems meant he had to give the job to Gus Van Sant.

The film garnered lackluster reviews from critics and failed to make back its $15 million budget at the box office. It also invoked the wrath of gas companies over its anti-drilling storyline, as well as farmers close to the Pennsylvania set who were unhappy with the portrayal of rural workers in the movie.

However, Damon is adamant he was pleased with the end result and can't understand why the film didn't go down well with critics and cinema-goers.

He tells Britain's Radar magazine, "I don't think it deserves this kind of withering attack. There isn't a scene in the movie that I would change or do differently, but it didn't get the reception I hoped for... I really don't understand the criticism I have been hearing back."

Damon remains hopeful the film will become a cult classic in years to come, adding, "Sometimes people find films later on, and I personally love it."

Zac Efron Puzzles Fans With Newly Bandaged Wrist

Actor Zac Efron has his wrist bandaged up again -- almost a year to the day since he injured his hand in an alleged fruit-cutting injury.

Reports suggest the former High School Musical star was sent home from the set of new comedy Townies in Los Angeles after a medic who checked out his injury declared he wouldn't be able to carry on.

In April last year, the young hunk joked about an injury to his left hand when he showed up to the London premiere of his film The Lucky One sporting a bandage. He told curious reporters a fan had bitten him.

And it seems he's keen to keep fans in the dark about his latest injury -- this time to his right wrist.

Ryan Gosling Hated Face Tattoo For New Movie

Actor Ryan Gosling regretted adorning his face with a fake tattoo for new movie The Place Beyond the Pines as he couldn't bear to look in the mirror afterwards.

The Hollywood star plays a bad boy who turns to crime to help support his baby, and Gosling wanted to show his character's questionable lifestyle choices through his tattoos.

However, the actor hated the eventual design choice, a dagger dripping blood by his left eye, and even complained to director Derek Cianfrance.

However, Cianfrance was unsympathetic and ordered Gosling to put up with the fake inking.

Gosling tells Metro.us, "We wanted to make the tattoos look a mess, from someone who lived a life of not thinking things through and making bad decisions. When I went for the tattoo, I thought, this is stupid, this is dumb, I can't do this.

"And Derek was like 'Well, that's how most people feel about their face tattoos'. I didn't even want to look at myself in the mirror. I felt like I knew what he (the character) was like. When I was holding Tony Pizza, the kid who plays our child, I just felt ashamed this person I created was his father."

Sean Lowe Acting Like A “Diva” On Dancing With The Stars

Sean Lowe managed to stay grounded while starring on The Bachelorette and The Bachelor, but it looks like he is letting his stint on Dancing with the Stars go to his head. A show insider says Lowe has been displaying some “diva” behavior since beginning the dance competition.

“When he goes to the [Dancing with the Stars] after-parties, he’s always an hour late and brings the biggest entourage with him– like eight people. No one else does that,” says the source.

Lowe’s alleged attitude is beginning to take a toll on his relationship with fiancé Catherine Giudici. “Sean’s putting his work first now, which means his relationship has to take a backseat,” an insider explains. “But no woman wants to come in a distant second in her fiance’s life. Unless Sean is willing to put out his ambition and lust for fame and fortune, he’s going to lose his chance with Catherine.”

Despite rumors of trouble in their relationship, the couple put on a united front Monday on Dancing with the Stars’ live show. Lowe, 29, dedicated his Viennese Waltz to Giudici and even incorporated her into the performance. Lowe wrapped up the routine by waltzing solo to where Giudici sat in the audience and kissing her.

"Without question, the best year of my life was 2012," he explained. "The experience of being the Bachelor is one thing, but that pales in comparison to finding Catherine. And that's what it's all about."

"This dance definitely holds extra meaning for me," added Lowe. "Because I owe everything to Catherine for putting her life on hold to come down to L.A. to support me."

Kendall Jenner Would “Love” To Replace Miranda Kerr As Victoria’s Secret Angel

Could a member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan be taking Miranda Kerr’s Angel wings? Kendall Jenner, the half-sister of Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, says she would “love” to become a Victoria’s Secret Angel.

"It's always been kind of a dream of mine," the 17-year-old model told E! News. "It's a very great thing to do, and it's something I'd love to do."

If the lingerie giant is open to Jenner becoming an Angel, she could be chosen to replace Kerr. Insiders say Kerr’s 3-year contract “was not renewed” after its recent expiration. She was allegedly ousted because she is “not a big seller for VS” and she has a “difficult reputation.”

Kerr, who has a 2-year-old son with husband Orlando Bloom, has not commented. VS Chief marketing officer Ed Razek also refused to comment on her status as an Angel, but he did say Victoria’s Secret has “no plans to stop working with her.” Razek also said Kerr has been invited to walk in the 2013 show.

Current Angels include Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, Alessandra Ambrosio and Doutzen Kroes among others.
