Justin Bieber Bans Selena Gomez Music From Photoshoot Set

Pop star Justin Bieber has banned music by his on/off girlfriend Selena Gomez from his photoshoot playlist.
The couple split late last year (12), but rumours of a romantic reunion emerged in March (13) after Bieber paid a visit to Gomez's Los Angeles home, and in April (13) she flew out to Norway to support the 19 year old during his European tour.
The stars have since reaffirmed their single status and now Bieber has forbidden staffers from playing any of the beauty's music in his presence.
Editors at TMZ.com have obtained a copy of one of the superstar's riders, which forbids personnel from asking for photographs, speaking to Bieber and blasting any tunes recorded by his ex during photoshoots.
The document also lists items to be included in the pop hunk's dressing room, such as a large pack of Swedish Fish candies and two pairs of white socks.

Radio Talk: LONG ISLAND’s DOMINICK MOVES INTO REVERB NATIONS TOP 40

ReverbNation.com (based in Durham, NC), launched in 2006, is a site that focuses on the independent music industry. It aims to provide a central site for musicians, venues, labels, and industry professionals to collaborate and communicate. The company offers web promotion, fan-relationship management, digital distribution, sentiment tracking, web-site hosting, and concert booking and promotion.

As of March 2013, 2.7 million musicians have created ReverbNation accounts, and the website continually receives over 30 million unique visitors per month.

Many established artists, have used ReverbNation for one thing or another. Sean Kingston and Phish both use the ReverbNation Band Profile app - the most popular Facebook application for musicians - on their Facebook pages. Karmin grew their fan base off of YouTube videos that linked to the exclusive downloads widget at ReverbNation. This grew their mailing list and eventually gained them a major deal. The Alabama Shakes (who were on Saturday Night Live recently) got their big break when a famous music blog featured a song from their ReverbNation profile.

Hundreds of ReverbNation artists' songs have been featured in movies, commercials, television shows, and video games - all earning ReverbNation artists’ money.

Now, count Long Island’s own Dominick DiPietrantonio as another successful reverb ReverbNation success; as his songs have moved this week, into their #36 position. PR-executive David Salidor said of the service, “For establishing a new artist; you couldn't ask for a more reliable service. Look at their track record. It speaks for itself. In this digital age, it’s a first-rate service.”

With Dominick finishing his debut album and about to ink a recording deal, the ReverbNation announcement couldn't have come at a better time. “To me, it’s the icing on the cake. This year’s big success for me has been my song, ‘Only One For Me,’ being on the Hollywood Girls web show, but when I heard about ReverbNation, it felt really good.”

Recording in both Long Island and New York, the sessions are proceeding quickly. Dom’s management suggests his first album could well be released in the fourth quarter this year.

Eminem Offers Hope to Addicts in New Documentary: How To Make Money Selling Drugs

Rapper Eminem has opened up about his struggle to get clean in a new documentary, assuring suffering addicts life "does get better" once they conquer their dependency demons.

The Stan hitmaker is now sober after a four-year hell of painkiller and sedative abuse, which led to a near-fatal overdose in 2005, and he has shared his experiences in new movie How To Make Money Selling Drugs.

Discussing his overdose, Eminem says, "My organs were shutting down. My liver, kidneys, everything. They were going to have to put me on dialysis. They didn't think I was gonna make it. My bottom was gonna be death. Within a month (after leaving hospital), I had relapsed and shot right back up to the same amount of pills that I was taking. I remember just walking around my house thinking every single day, I'm gonna... die."

The hip-hop star is still recovering from the damage he inflicted on his body, but he goes on to offer words of support to others in the throes of addiction.

He adds, "I had to regain motor skills, I had to regain talking skills. It's been a learning process, I'm growing. You just couldn't believe that anybody could ever be naturally happy, or naturally function or just enjoy life in general without being on something. I would say that to anybody that it does get better, it just does."

Moviemaker Matthew Cook's documentary was produced by Entourage star Adrian Grenier and also features an interview with stoner icon Woody Harrelson.

Kris Jenner Explains Meaning Behind “North” Baby Name

Kris Jenner has attempted to explain the strange name of her newest grandchild, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's 1-week-old daughter North West. In an interview on The View to promote her upcoming talk show Kris, Jenner said Kim and Kanye didn’t pick the name North just because of Kanye’s last name.

“The way [Kim] explained it to me was that North means highest power, and she says that North is their highest point together and I thought that was really sweet,” she explained.

“It's North West, but you don't walk around calling somebody, ‘Hi North West.’ It's just North,” she said, adding that Kim and Kanye are considering a nickname for the baby. Jenner said she does not know “what they’ve decided on.”

As for her opinion on the name, Jenner said she is “pro-North, absolutely.”

Kim, 32, gave birth to North on Saturday, June 15. Although North was born about 5 weeks early and weighed just 4 lbs. 15 oz, she is healthy and has already left the hospital. Kim and Kanye have yet to speak publicly about her birth. The new family is said to be living at Jenner’s home while their own $9 million Bel Air mansion is renovated.

The Lone Ranger and All The FavoriteTelevision Cowboy Heroes’ -out July 9-from Event Bookazines

New York -- There are many institutions which one could argue to be uniquely American--the Constitution, jazz, blues, and baseball. Yet all are derivative and have roots in other cultures of the distant past. However, the American Western stands alone as uniquely American as, apple pie.

An entire of generation of readers will relish a walk down memory lane in this most-cherished of TV genres, as Rawhide and Deadwood producer A.C. Lyles and Western-genre expert, actor Bruce Boxleitner (How the West Was Won) punctuate this latest release from Event Bookazine with insightful commentary and one-of-a-kind memories.

Released to coincide with the release of Disney’s The Lone Ranger, starring Armie Hammer and Johnny Depp, an entirely new audience is ready for the re-awakening of interest in what was once, hands-down, the most popular and beloved of American story-telling traditions. Westerns represent an American ideal, and a reflection of their times.

The first television Cowboy heroes (e.g., Hopalong Cassidy, Gene Autry, Roy Rogers) were untarnished heroes in white hats who always won and never missed a shot. Eventually they came to be represented as loners (Shane), followed by the outcast or misunderstood (Have Gun Will Travel), the wrongfully-disgraced (Branded) and finally outlaws themselves as anti-heroes (Alias Smith and Jones) in lieu ofButch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

Among the 13 chapters, are: The Loners; The Long Ranger: Never Alone; Gunsmoke; The Gamblers; The James Bonds of the Old West; When the Classics Were Ready for Their Close-ups; and, Revisionist History. Also, an exclusive interview with TV’s Bruce Boxleitner, who was hand-picked by James Arness (Gunsmoke) to appear in the classic epic, 1962’s How The West Was Won.

The 128-page magazine –out July 9- focuses on the most celebrated westerns; referencing other shows of each era - including, The Rifleman, Maverick, The Wild, Wild West) - as well as competing shows, focusing on the great actors and the characters they played, along with beautiful pictures from the world’s foremost collector of TV Western photography, Doug Abbot, with production notes and behind the scene anecdotes.

Chris Brown Defends Himself Against Hit-And-Run Charges

Chris Brown has taken to Twitter.com to defend himself against fresh accusations he left the scene of a traffic accident without exchanging details with the other motorist.
The embattled R&B star has been charged with hit-and-run relating to the minor car accident in Los Angeles last month (May13), despite claims from Brown's representative and lawyer Mark Geragos that he did what he was required to do at the scene - and even contacted the female motorist he ran into to make sure she had the correct details.
He has also been charged with driving without a valid licence, and faces up to six months behind bars for each offence.
But angry Brown insists he's completely innocent and in a series of tweets on Tuesday (25Jun13), he attempted to clear his name.
He wrote: "It's not a hit and run if u (sic) get out the car, exchange information (who has NO DAMAGE to either cars). This is really ridiculous... I have a valid drivers license and I gave the woman the right info. She saw cameras and wanted to make a scene.
"She contacted the cops thinking of a payday from Chris Brown when I followed the proper procedures... My lawyers will be contacting you. I will not stand for this bullying and yellow journalism!"
Brown also changed his Twitter profile picture to a photo of him chatting to the other motorist at the scene of the accident, adding, "My profile pic is the pic I took of the persons (sic) car after 'the hit and run'. NO damage. Just a dirty car.once again, I gotta clear my name."
He then attached a photo of the rear of the Mercedes he ran into in a bid to prove the car was not damaged.

Channing Tatum Talks Fatherhood

It’s only been three weeks since he officially became a father with the birth of daughter Everly, but Channing Tatum has already learned a few things about parenthood. He opened up about being a father this week in interviews promoting his new film White House Down.

"I'll give you some baby advice: You're not going to do anything for the first six months. You're just like, 'Can I have the baby at some point today?' You're never going to be so excited when something poos,” Tatum told Extra’s A.J. Calloway. Calloway is currently expecting a child with his fiance Dionne Walker.

Another thing Tatum has learned is how fast babies grow. "I'm away from her for 12-13 hours and I feel like I come home and I feel like she's changed—like her face looks different. You feel like every minute that you miss is horrible,” he told E!.

As for how wife Jenna Dewan is handling motherhood, the actor revealed, "She's good, she's really good. Tired, you know…just taking care of the baby on those first months. First months are hard.”

Tatum told Good Morning America that he received some good advice from his White House Down co-star Jamie Fox. “Jamie told me, he’s just like, look, you’ve got to learn how to be a father and a buddy, like a homey, to your little girl and be a person that she can come and talk to as well,” said Tatum.

White House Down hits theaters this Friday.

Miley Cyrus Applauds Disney's Creation Of First Same-Sex Couple

Actresses Miley Cyrus and Evan Rachel Wood have applauded writers at Disney Channel sitcom Good Luck Charlie for creating the TV network's first same-sex couple.

The family-friendly show's fourth and final season will feature a character with two lesbian moms when it premieres next year (14), and a spokesperson for the company tells TVGuide.com, "This particular storyline was developed under the consultancy of child development experts and community advisors.

"Like all Disney Channel programming, it was developed to be relevant to kids and families around the world and to reflect themes of diversity and inclusiveness."

Now gay rights advocate Cyrus, who got her start on the channel's hit series Hannah Montana, has praised TV chiefs for taking a step in the right direction.

In a post on Twitter.com, she wrote, "I commend Disney for making this step into the light of this generation. They control… so much of what kids think! Life isn't bright sets & wardrobe & kids becoming superstars! This is INSPIRING".

Meanwhile, The Ides of March star Wood, who is bisexual, posted a link to the news on her social networking account and added, "Hell yea."

Kick-Ass Creator Speaks Out After Jim Carrey Snubs Film

The creator of the Kick-Ass movie franchise has hit back at Jim Carrey after the actor publicly withdrew his support for the film over its depiction of violence.

The Dumb & Dumber star announced on Sunday he had experienced a change of heart about his upcoming release Kick-Ass 2, following the gun massacre at Connecticut's Sandy Hook Elementary School last December.

He tweeted, "I did Kickass a month b4 (before) Sandy Hook and now in all good conscience I cannot support that level of violence. My apologies to others involve with the film. I am not ashamed of it but recent events have caused a change in my heart."

Mark Millar, who wrote the Kick-Ass comic books and is a producer on the films, admits he is "baffled" by Carrey's statement as he insists the star knew all about the script's gory content when he signed up for the role.

Millar also reveals Carrey was drawn to playing Colonel Stars and Stripes as the character is a vigilante who refuses to use a gun.

In a post on his website, Millar writes, "I'm baffled by this sudden announcement as nothing seen in this picture wasn't in the screenplay eighteen months ago. Yes, the body-count is very high, but a movie called Kick-Ass 2 really has to do what it says on the tin...

"Ironically, Jim's character in Kick-Ass 2 is a born-again Christian and the big deal we made of the fact that he refuses to fire a gun is something he told us attracted him to the role in the first place. Ultimately, this is his decision, but I've never quite bought the notion that violence in fiction leads to violence in real-life any more than Harry Potter casting a spell creates more Boy Wizards in real-life."

The forthcoming sequel, a follow-up to Matthew Vaughn's 2010 hit, stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Chloe Grace Moretz as youngsters who team up to fight bullies.

Julian Lennon Tells Rolling Stone "I Am Quite Happy Where I Am"

Julian Lennon is busy promoting his latest album Everything Changes. Rolling Stone spoke with the Grammy nominated singer-songwriter about his new music, his love for photography and working with Aerosmith.

Fifteen years after the release of his last album, Julian Lennon was ready Friday night to celebrate his return to public life as an artist, both musical and visual. The 50-year-old Lennon's new album, Everything Changes, is a modern, mature version of the pop songs and balladry that began his career in 1984 on the platinum-selling Valotte, but he says he is just as committed to his new work as a photographer.

"It's made me feel more free with any artistic project," Lennon told Rolling Stone, noting his surprise at the positive reviews for his pictures, beginning with his first gallery show in New York in 2010. "It was like the bizarre final acceptance of being seen as an artist in my own right after so many years. Thank God for that. That spurred me on."

As the new album played, Lennon was joined by guests at the Morrison Hotel Gallery, located in the lobby of the Sunset Marquis Hotel in West Hollywood, where his behind-the-scenes pictures of U2 shared wall space with Lennon's quietly epic landscapes. Dressed in black jeans and leather jacket, Lennon was noticeably bulked up, like a man who knows his way around a gym. Read more at Rolling Stone

Aerosmith's TV Prank On Tour Mates Backfired

Aerosmith once pulled the ultimate rock star prank on touring pals Mott the Hoople by trashing their hotel room and locking them inside.

Steven Tyler and Joe Perry admits they got up to all kinds of mischief when they were on the road with Ian Hunter's band and one post-show project included trying to fit everything in a hotel suite through a TV frame.

Tyler recalls, "We sat there and we were bored to tears after the show and there was a TV set, of course, and we thought, 'What can we do?' So, we're gonna take everything in the room and try to fit it through the television screen... and we did that. It took us about three hours - the bed, everything."

Perry adds, "One of the rules is you can't use tools; you gotta use ingenuity, take stuff apart... We did it a few times and it was fun, but when you start getting the bill the next day..."

And Tyler tells U.S. chat show host Jimmy Kimmel the fun stopped after police caught up with Aerosmith at an airport.

He explains, "They (Mott the Hoople) all fell asleep because we were bliss drunk (and) I went and locked the door... and went out through the window, locked the door from the inside. So, in the morning when they opened up the door to the police or whoever, we wouldn't get blamed.

"(But) sure enough, we got to the airport and the police greeted us."

Brad Pitt: I’m “Gutted” By James Gandolfini’s Death

Brad Pitt is one of the latest stars to weigh in on the tragic death of James Gandolfini. On Thursday, Pitt told reports he is “gutted by this loss.” Pitt and Gandolfini starred together in True Romance, The Mexican, and most recently Killing The Softly.

"I admire Jimmy as a ferocious actor, a gentle soul and a genuinely funny man,” Pitt said. “I am fortunate to have sat across the table from him and am gutted by this loss. I wish his family strength and some semblance of peace.”

Italian authorities announced Friday that Gandolfini, 51, died of a heart attack. The Sopranos star was in Rome for a short vacation with family before he attended the Taormina Film Festival in Sicily this weekend. He collapsed in his room at the Boscolo Exedra hotel Wednesday night and was found by his 13-year-old son Michael. Gandolfini had stopped breathing by the time he reached the hospital and attempts to resuscitate him failed.

Gandolfini’s spokesperson says the actor’s body will be flown back to the United States as soon as Italian authorities clear the move. "Once we have the clearance, we will put him on a flight to America. We expect that to be Wednesday, maybe Thursday, but we will keep you informed,” he said, adding that the funeral will hopefully happen “on Thursday, Friday, latest Saturday” in NYC.

Kobold later said Gandolfini’s body will be flown back to the United States as soon as Italian authorities clear the move. "Once we have the clearance, we will put him on a flight to America. "The resuscitation maneuvers, including heart massage, continued for 40 minutes and then, seeing no electric activity from the heart, this was interrupted and we declared James dead," Dr. Claudio Modini said.

Cher On Her Long Awaited Return To The Stage: I'm a Chicken!"

Considering she’s one of the foremost fashion and music icons in the world, we doubt very much that Cher is, as she describes herself, “a chicken”. But, talking to The Hollywood Reporter, the 67-year-old admitted how scared she was at taking to the stage for the first time in over a decade.

The legendary singer was performing at The Voice finale, showing off a new track from her upcoming album. "It's the first time I've been onstage or singing live -- the last time I think was with Tina [Turner] and I think that was about five or seven years ago," she explains. "And before that -- I can't even remember the last time I was on TV before that." Needless to say, she belted out Woman's World - off her upcoming album, Closer to the Truth – with the kind of audacity and aplomb that launched her to stardom, but that’s not to say there weren’t any butterflies. "It's very exciting and it makes you feel elated, but it's also kind of scary. And I'm a big chicken  anyway," she added.

Closer to the Truth, which will be hitting stores on September 24, is Cher’s first album since 2002's Living Proof. "I actually did a couple of different things in this album," she says. "I ventured into places I haven't gone and I really enjoyed that. I kind of took some chances in this album and then when they turned out to be good, I was really happy."

Gandolfini is survived by his wife Deborah Lin and their 9-month-old daughter, as well as his 13-year-old son Michael from his previous marriage to Marcy Wudarski.

Amanda Bynes Blames Behavior On “Webbing In Between My Eyes”

Webbing between the eyes is the explanation to all of Amanda Bynes’ bizarre behavior. In a lengthy Twitter explanation, Bynes’ blames all of her recent troubles – which include an arrest for drug possession, tampering with evidence and reckless endangerment – on an “embarrassing” birth defect.

“I was born with a webbing in between my eyes. That was a birth defect that I had surgically removed! I’ve never been more excited!” she shared Wednesday night.

“I consider myself to be a hero to have suffered 27 years with a birth defect and to just now have it surgically removed! I had to share my story with you so the media would stop using old photos of me and stop writing lies about me having odd behavior when I was just embarrassed to share the fact that I had a birth defect,” she explained.

“I wanted to share my story with you to prove that I’m not crazy, I was just embarrassed. Surgery is a complete miracle for me – nothing can hold you back from living out your dreams. There’s a surgery for everything that’s wrong with you!” continued Bynes.

Bynes, 27, said she still requires more surgeries to make everything perfect. “Now I need a few more surgeries to shave the bridge down to correct the rest of my nose so I can start the next chapter of my career! Music!” she wrote.

Bynes is perhaps best known for starring on the Nickelodeon shows "All That" and "The Amanda Show." Her film credits include "What a Girl Wants," "She’s The Man," "Hairspray" and "Easy A."

John Travolta On James Gandolfini: “He Was A People Person First”

James Gandolfini once helped John Travolta’s family through the most difficult time in their life, and now Travolta has the opportunity to repay Gandolfini in kind. In an interview with Good Morning America, Travolta revealed Gandolfini who went out of the way to support him after the 2009 death of his 16-year-old son Jett Travolta.

"James went out of his way to come to Florida and he would not leave Florida until I was okay, or he felt that I would be fine. After a week I said, 'Jim you can really, you can, you know, we'll be fine. I've got a lot of support here,'" the actor revealed. "But the idea that in our profession someone would go out of their way and not want to leave you until he felt you were okay, that's the kind of soul that James Gandolfini was. He was a people person first, and then everything else."

Travolta, 59, said his goal now is “to make sure that his family is okay. "His little boy, I watched him grow up, and his brand new little girl. We'll just make sure they're taken care of. That's the whole idea,” he adds.

Gandolfini died of an apparent heart attack Wednesday night in Rome. The Sopranos actor is survived by his wife Deborah Lin, their 9-month-old daughter Liliana, and his 13-year-old son Michael from his previous marriage to Marcy Wudarski.

Cher and Lady Gaga's Collaboration May Not Be Released: "Im disappointed" says Cher

Cher revealed Lady Gaga's collaboration 'The Greatest Thing' may not be released as there has been a disagreement between the stars and it appears Gaga does not like the track.

Lady GaGa is blocking Cher from releasing her duet with her.

Gaga donated a track she wrote, 'The Greatest Thing', to the 67-year-old diva, which they then recorded together, but the results have never been aired.

When asked by a fan on twitter why the song has not been released the song, Cher wrote: ''It's done & she [Gaga] doesn't like it, or want it to come out. She's an artist, it's up to her. I'm disappointed 2 (sic).''

The producer behind the track - regular Gaga collaborator RedOne - previously said the song was something he and Gaga had worked on together, but remained unfinished until he played it to Cher.

He said: ''Gaga and I recorded the song a few years ago, and we were always in the studio enjoying that song. It's weird we never did anything with it.

''So I remember my management and Cher's management were trying to get us together, and I thought, 'Oh my God, I'd love to meet Cher, just to meet her!' And so I met her, I played her some songs, and I played her 'The Greatest Thing,' and she loved it. She said, 'This is my song.' ''

Originally Gaga was happy for Cher to record the track and to appear on the remix, but with RedOne's encouragement it became a duet.

He added: ''I cut the vocals with Cher first, and I was in Madrid and got a textfrom Gaga saying, 'I'm thinking about jumping on the song in the remix.' ''

''I was like, 'No, you should jump on the original! Make it a duet.' She said, 'Oh yes, OK, absolutely,' and then I spoke to Cher, and it became a party.''

Cher is set to release her 26th studio album, 'Closer To The Truth' - her first since 2001 - in September.

Kim Kardashian’s Daughter Is “The Prettiest, Tiniest Thing”

Kim Kardashian’s baby girl is not even a week old and she is already being deemed a beauty. According to a close friend who visited Kardashian in the hospital, the baby is "the prettiest, tiniest thing with a full head of straight, dark hair, a cute little nose and Kim's lips.”

"She's already smiling!" says the insider.

It’s that smile that already has proud dad Kanye West smitten. Kardashian’s pal Larsa Pippen told New York Daily News that West is “in love with the baby” and “doesn’t leave the room.”

Meanwhile, it remains unclear if the little girl has a name yet. Insiders previously said Kardashian and West were close to choosing a name. The name will reportedly start with a ‘K’ to continue the Kardashian family tradition of ‘K’ names for the girls.

It remains unclear when Kardashian and West will take their daughter home since she was born 3 to 5 weeks premature. Despite her early arrival, she is said to be healthy.

Bono Enjoys Special Lunch With Obama Family

Irish rocker and philanthropist Bono enjoyed a very special lunch date this week (begs17Jun13) after inviting U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama to join him for lunch at his favorite local pub.

The U2 frontman and his wife Ali closed down Finnegan's of Dalkey in his nativeDublin for the private event as Obama and her two daughters, Sasha and Malia, arrived for the meal, but they weren't alone - around 60 other guests were also in attendance for the luncheon.

Dishes on the menu included fish and chips, cottage pie and smoked bacon, and the owners of the family-run pub even made an extra effort to make the Obamas feel at home by hanging an American flag above the main entrance.

Addressing the high-profile lunch meeting, Bono says, "We talked about everything and nothing. It was a family lunch."

U.S. President Barack Obama was not in attendance at the meal as he was meeting with world leaders at the G8 Summit in neighbouring Northern Ireland.

Blake Shelton’s Contestant Danielle Bradbery Wins The Voice

On Tuesday’s season finale of The Voice, 16-year-old Texas native Danielle Bradbery beat Michelle Chamuel and the Swon Brothers for the winning title. Bradbery was so emotional after her win that she struggled to finish her final performance on The Voice stage.

"I don't even know right now. I'm so thankful. I'm sorry … I'm speechless," she said.

Earlier in the night, Bradbery praised her coach Blake Shelton for his guidance throughout the season. "You're an amazing coach and you're an amazing person," she said. "You taught me so much and I'm so thankful to have you in my life and I love you so much."

This is Shelton’s third Voice win – his contestants Jermaine Paul and Cassadee Pope won season 2 and season 3 respectively.

"I think it's the most important win we have had so far on The Voice because Danielle is the first winner of The Voice that had no professional experience in the past," he told People magazine on Tuesday. "Her biggest performances ever were for her family at Thanksgiving."

"People are just wrapped around her finger for a reason," Shelton added. "God sprinkled just a little bit more on Danielle Bradbery than he did the rest of us and I'm just glad to call her a friend."

Elton John Record Collection Reveals Hidden Treasures!

Jeanine T. Patrick, of Patrick & Patrick CPA's reveals that twenty years after Sir Elton John sold his record collection at a Sotheby's auction to raise funds for his Aids Charity, a thorough inventory has uncovered that not only is the Collection much larger than originally expected but a wealth of surprising treasures have been unearthed.

The Elton John Collection, sold by the artist to fund his Aids Charity, was originally believed to consist of 50,000 items. In actuality, the personal collection, which the artist enhanced with the purchase of legendary BBC Producer, Bernie Andrews personal collection; contains more than 70,000 items consisting of singles, albums, 8 track cassettes, compact discs and unique studio tapes.

The Collection was created from the artist's prolific personal record purchasing, personal gifts and material from his record company Rocket Records. Especially notable are singles from his youth, signed as Reg Dwight and in sleeves he customized with newspaper and magazine clippings from artists of the time.

"The richness of the collection clearly reflects a passion and curiosity for all genres of music. It is not only comprehensive, but arguably a definitive portrait of the 50's through the 80's and possesses an enduring value and importance. With the Collection's rarities, unique editions and historical releases, I can't imagine there is another collection quite like it in the world," said Stephen M. H. Braitman of musicappraisals.com, the Collection's appraiser.

Unlocking a Historical Collection's Secrets Jeanine Patrick, of Patrick and Patrick CPA's, was tasked with valuing the Collection, which arrived with minimal accompanying data, making a full inventory essential. So why did that take 20 years?

Patrick explains: "Evaluating a collection of this size and historical significance is not something that's embarked on easily. Along with the necessary security requirements it is cumbersome, risky and labor intensive, and you can easily spend more on it than a collection is worth. Over the past two decades, I investigated many solutions that were simply unfeasible, flawed, high-risk or cost prohibitive, or all of the above."

That all changed when a discussion with a business associate resulted in an ingenious solution. Creativity, teamwork and completely throwing away all conventions of how to inventory a collection saw them develop a system that began a modern day treasure hunt. Their solution, I-Stream, has created a complete visual 'virtual collection' that is accessible on the client's desktop. The I-Stream process integrates asset protection, security protocols, layered processing and allows for remote live monitoring of the inventorying process in a fast, affordable, reliable and accurate way.

Patrick explains: "Being able to literally view the items brings the collection to life and also offers detail that cannot be accessed via a simple data inventory sheet. To see the quality of an item on screen and actually read a sleeve note or a signature is unbelievably exciting."

From a business feasibility perspective, I-Stream allowed Patrick to provide an inventory and valuation in record time. And the process laid bare unexpected and previously undocumented rarities, such as 30 year old studio reel to reel tapes of rough mixes and copies of Elton John's studio sessions.

Leveraging the archival expertise of Abbey Road Studios, the team at I-Stream,transferred the reel to reel content into studio quality digital files to be stored with the Collection, and created MP3 copies, which can be played on the virtual collection software.

Appraiser Stephen Braitman suggests: "The ability to manipulate, manage and catalog such a robust collection and make it accessible to archivists, scholars and collectors for further study and discography will be invaluable to pop historians. This collection is of profound historical significance. As a collector, I am insanely jealous to find so many of the touchstones of music history and its legacy in one collection. This work also begs another question: What other uncovered treasures are hidden in unevaluated collections? "

Lady Gaga's Father Rants About Restaurant Rating

Lady Gaga's father has aimed a furious online rant at New York City's mayor after the family's Italian restaurant was given a damning report from city health inspectors.

The star and her relatives opened the Joanne Trattoria on Manhattan's West Side in February, 2012, but the venue was found to be in violation of hygiene and sanitary rules following a Department of Health inspection in October.

Gaga's father, Joseph Germanotta, has now taken aim at the city's Mayor Michael Bloomberg in a scathing rant on Twitter.com, alleging health inspectors have visited the eaterie late at night and found minor infractions, like a mouldy potato in a vegetable bin.

In a series of posts, he writes, "Great story of NYC making progress, money and corruption. We had a bad potato in a bin with 40 good potatoes... It wasn't being served to a customer, it was raw, and when the inspector pointed it out we threw it away. How many bad veggies do you toss?...

"You really need to assess your role and service to NYC. I guess Bloomberg assigned you a quota, just wait till I see him... again... What do you think? Post your messages to Mike Bloomberg, the root cause..."

Martial arts movie icon Bruce Lee has been immortalised in Los Angeles with a larger-than life bronze statue.

The seven-foot tribute, created by an artist in Guangzhou, China, was unveiled in Chinatown's historical Central Plaza on Saturday.

The statue was donated by the Bruce Lee Foundation, a non-profit organisation started up to honour the actor's legacy, ahead of the 40th anniversary of his death on 20 July.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the statue is not yet a permanent fixture - local business leaders are attempting to raise $150,000 to have it installed.

Lee died at the age of 32 in 1973.
