Justin Bieber Will Be Charged With Vandalism

Justin Bieber
will be charged with criminal vandalism today, it has been claimed.

The 20-year-old singer was accused of pelting his neighbour's home with eggs in January, causing a rumoured $20,000 of damage to the Calabasas, California, property. Since then there has been a lot of speculation over what the star might be charged with, with prosecutors said to be intent on making the allegations a felony.

According to TMZ, Justin will be told he is facing criminal vandalism charges today. However, it remains unknown whether they will be misdemeanour or felony charges. It's claimed many people have been involved in deciding how serious the incident was, with the bosses at the District Attorney's office making the final call.

Although not all the evidence linked to the egging is known, there is a video which has been widely reported that was taken during the incident and seemingly features Justin's voice. The superstar's home was also raided by police in connection to the incident, with surveillance video of him around the time of the egging seized.

In the state of California, a misdemeanour vandalism charge garners a maximum of one year in jail and up to a $10,000 fine if convicted. But a felony has much more serious implications, including a jail sentence of one to three years, a penalty of up to $50,000, and probation.

Justin has been at the centre of a great deal of legal trouble over the last year. Recently he was cleared of claims he had grabbed a woman's phone as she tried to take a photograph of him. He was also arrested for DUI in Miami earlier this year, but is said to have reached a plea deal with cops, which will see him plead guilty to reckless driving and agree to anger management classes.

It's not the only problems the star is facing - videos of him using racist language several years ago were recently released, prompting the star to make several heartfelt apologies.

Lady Gaga & Manager Bobby Campbell join Artist Nation

Lady Gaga is one of the most iconic and highest-grossing artists of this generation,” Michael Rapino, president and chief executive officer of Live Nation Entertainment, the parent company of Artist Nation, tells Billboard.biz. “We have a long-standing relationship with Lady Gaga, dating back to her 2009 Fame Ball tour, and we look forward to continuing to support Lady Gaga and her manager Bobby Campbell in their careers.”

Campbell adds, “Lady Gaga and I have had an incredible relationship with Live Nation over the last five years. Their insight, strategic vision and global power have made them a truly invaluable member of our team. I’m ecstatic to be working even more closely with them in the years to come as we take Lady Gaga’s career to new levels all around the world.”

Lady Gaga parted ways with her previous manager Troy Carter and his Atom Factory firm last November. Campbell, who worked with Gaga at Atom Factory, stayed with the artist after her split with Carter. He assumed management duties at the time and will continue to manage Gaga moving forward. The move to Artist Nation brings to an end to rampant industry speculation on Lady Gaga’s management representation going forward, as several well-known management firms were pursuing her as a client, according to sources.

After bringing in Lady Gaga, Live Nation has been reaffirmed as the world’s largest management organization, with more than 230 artist clients from all genres and some 16 management companies under its umbrella. As its concert and sponsorship division churn record numbers, Artist Nation is also on a roll, recently bringing in U2 and Madonna under manager Guy Oseary.

Lady Gaga, a five-time Grammy winner whose latest album “ARTPOP” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 200, has sold more than 27 million albums worldwide (including 710,000 for “ARTPOP” in the U.S., according to Neilsen SoundScan), and has more than 125 million downloaded singles since she broke in 2008.

In officially joining the Artist Nation portfolio, Gaga builds on her already strong relationship with Live Nation, producer of the artist’s two previous tours, which grossed more than $300 million combined and sold more than 3.2 million tickets, according to Billboard Boxscore. Live Nation is also producing GaGa’s current artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball, one of the biggest global tours of the summer, having sold nearly 800,000 tickets in more than 24 countries across North America, Asia, Australia and Europe, according to Live Nation.

“The ARTPOP Ball Tour will continue the successful run around the world through November,” says Arthur Fogel, Live Nation’s chairman of global music, president of global touring, and Lady GaGa’s tour producer. “The show is great musically and visually, and Lady Gaga is at the top of her game.”

Michael Jackson's Guards Speak Out in New Book— Remember the Time: Michael Jackson In His Final Days

Michael Jackson's bodyguards say he was 'certainly eccentric'.

Security professionals Javon Beard and Bill Whitfield were hired to protect the King of Pop two and a half years before his June 2009 death.

And according to the guards, Michael often spent his estimated $263 million fortune on bizarre items.

'He was certainly eccentric ,' Bill, a former policeman and security veteran, told British newspaper The Mirror.

'He would go into a store and buy everything. When we stayed in hotels he would buy thousands of books.

"At one point, he bought a whole bookstore.'

Michael left behind three children, including daughter Paris, 16, and sons Prince, 17, and Blanket, 12.

And Bill was deeply moved by how close he was with his kids.

'We worked for Mr Jackson. We didn't work for the King of Pop,' he recalled.

'We got to see him as a man and a father.

"It was so good to see the side of him which was so in tune as a parent, from helping them with their homework and making sure they were eating right, to putting them to bed.'

Apparently Michael's brood wasn't exposed to his media image at all while they were in his care.

'He didn't have any internet in the house. The kids couldn't watch regular TV, so they never saw how he was portrayed,' Javon said.

Michael died at the age of 50 of a propofol overdose and Conrad Murray served time in jail for manslaughter after the courts found he was guilty of administering a fatal dose of the anaesthetic to the musician.

Security guards Bill and Javon speak more about their experience working for the star in their new book, Remember the Time: Michael Jackson In His Final Days.

Sandra Bullock Gets Restraining Order Against Intruder

Actress Sandra Bullock has obtained an emergency protection order against a man suspected of attempting to break into her Los Angeles home.

Joshua Corbett, 39, was arrested and booked on suspicion of residential burglary after he was allegedly caught trying to gain access to the Gravity star's property early on Sunday morning, hours after she attended the Guys Choice Awards in Culver City, California on Saturday.

A representative for Bullock, who was home at the time of the incident, has assured fans she is "fine" and "unharmed", but the actress has since taken legal action to ensure the suspect doesn't get too close for comfort again.

According to TMZ.com, the Oscar winner, mother to young son Louis, obtained the restraining order shortly after the incident.

Corbett is currently being held on $50,000 bail.

He is not thought to have a history with Bullock, but the actress has reason to be fearful - she has previously been granted permanent restraining orders against overzealous fan Thomas James Weldon, who began harassing her in 2003. She had the court order renewed in 2010 and he was subsequently committed to a mental institution in Wyoming.

Bullock also had to obtain a protective order against another obsessed devotee, Marcia Valentine, in 2007 after the fan dumped pieces of animal fur in the star's backyard and hurled abuse at her then-husband Jesse James when he tried to note her car licence plate.

“The Man From Mars” Has Landed

Sci-Fi fans, hold onto your jet packs: Pulitzer-nominated author and composer David Menefee has teamed up with master musician Masanori to create "The Man from Mars,” the world's first Mars One song. The gut-wrenching three-minute mini-drama with Techno music embraces a cosmic set-up that rivals Star Wars.

“It’s 2024. The Mars One mission. Count down. Blast off,” describes Menefee. “In seconds, I am alone in outer space, a pioneer from the human race on a one-way trip to the red planet. Suddenly, I can think of nothing but my greatest love, the girl I left behind . . . forever.”

Menefee’s and Masanori's “The Man from Mars” song explores love in outer space and what may happen when an astronaut blasts off on the upcoming one-way Mars One mission in 2024. “Love is the greatest thing in the world,” Menefee explains, “but when destiny calls, an astronaut has to be willing to leave behind the greatest love of his or her life. We’ve captured that mood and sentiment in a mesmerizing blend of music, lyrics, and sound effects. Who knows? The song may prove to be prophetic.”

The third of their musical collaborations, "The Man from Mars" weaves wailing lead and harmony vocals with an ominous twenty-male background chorus entwined into a futuristic fugue that would make Steven Spielberg envious.

One Direction To Take on Wembley Stadium

For three nights this June, London plays host to the chart conquering One Direction. The band is embarking on a huge tour this year, after enjoying three years of unbridled, unbroken success off the back of their X Factor win.

The five-piece outfit have won plaudits all over the pop-speaking world since bursting onto the scene with 2011 debut 'What Makes You Beautiful', even cracking the notoriously tough American market. Several awards and two albums later, One Direction are a firm fixture in the musical landscape of 2014, and are clearly still pulling huge audiences.

It's only fitting that Britain's biggest boy-band should play the country's biggest sports venue. Wembley Stadium has gone from strength to strength since being overhauled, rebuilt and reopened in 2007, but it has continued to maintain its long-held reputation as the country's premier outdoor, large-scale concert venue.

The shows will take place on June 6-8, with tickets ranging from GBP43-GBP70, but fans travelling from far and wide to see One Direction at Wembley can take comfort from the discounted London hotel rooms currently being offered by LondonTown.com, the city's biggest events, accommodation and tourist information hub.

Tina Turner Joins The Rolling Stones in Zurich

Tina Turner was hanging out backstage at the Rolling Stones Switzerland gig on Sunday night.

The recent 3-disc reissue now includes the full supports featuring both Ike & Tina Turner and B.B. King.

Ozzy Osbourne Talks Memory Loss

Ozzy Osbourne's short term memory has been damaged by his past alcohol and drug dependencies.

The legendary rocker has always been open about the battles he's faced, and when a fan quizzed him on writing his autobiography Ozzy wasn't shy in admitting he struggled to recollect certain times.

"I can remember the '80s vividly. I think my short-term memory is damaged from all the years of abuse; I don't know what I did four seconds ago but I can remember clearly things that happened when I was a kid," Ozzy revealed to British music magazine Q.

His autobiography I Am Ozzy was released in 2010 and records the Black Sabbath star's meteoric rise to fame, as well as the downside to being in the public eye.

"The '80s was a fabulous decade. I remember thinking 'Wow, this is great. This is going to last forever.' [My wife] Sharon said to me 'You wait until 1990. It'll all change.' I went 'Naah, it can't be that quick.' Sure enough it changed.

"I don't really remember the '90s. I don't know why. My drug addiction and alcohol addiction were absolutely fierce then. I was just going for it full bore, so there was a lot of blackout time," he explained.

Out of all his vices, it's smoking that ranks highest for Ozzy in terms of addictiveness.

Before kicking the habit the 65-year-old star remembers that it didn't matter how ill he was, he'd always find the strength for another cigarette.

"I honestly do think if they discovered tobacco today, then it would be right next to heroin. I mean, I haven't smoked for a quite a while now but it was one of the most addictive substances that I ever put in my body.

"Even if I had a cold, chest infection, pneumonia, I'd still smoke, It's a miracle that I stopped," he added.

Lady Gaga Looks to Hire Justin Bieber' s Manager

Lady Gaga is supposedly considering hiring Justin Bieber's manager Scooter Braun.

The 28-year-old singer split with her professional overseer of nearly a decade, Troy Carter, last year.

Since becoming a free agent Gaga hasn't reached the success she achieved with representation and apparently she is starting to worry about her professional future.

'If anyone can help Gaga now it's Scooter,' a source told British newspaper The Sun.

'He's one of the smartest blokes in the music industry and made Bieber into the biggest pop star on the planet.
'There are a few options for her but Scooter is one of them.'

Although Gaga's third studio album ARTPOP went platinum and gold in markets around the world, it is claimed the record didn't sell as well as anticipated when it was released last November.

Speculation is rife the Applause songstress is concerned with sales figures, as she wants her fourth LP to be a huge success.

And apparently Gaga thinks the expertise of Justin's manager Scooter will aid tremendously in the attainment of her career pursuits.

'Scooter's also the one who has to get Justin out of his scrapes. Gaga's next album will be make or break,' the insider said.

'At the moment she's still to decide who will manage her.'

Gaga's former manager Troy helped propel her into superstardom after he signed a contract with her in 2007. He also received an Emmy nod for his work on her HBO Monster Ball Tour special. They are said to have called off their professional partnership due to 'creative differences'.

Dolly Parton: "Kids Weren't For Me"

Dolly Parton thinks having children wasn't "meant" for her.

The singer married Carl Thomas Dean in 1966 and the pair have been together ever since. Now, at 68 years old, Dolly can look back at her life without any regrets, despite never starting a family of her own.

"I grew up in a big old family with eight kids younger than me and several of my brothers and sisters came to live with me early on in my life," she told People magazine's Country edition. "I've loved their kids just like they're my grandkids, and now I've got great-grand-kids!

"Now I'm GeeGee, which is great-granny. I often think, it just wasn't meant for me to have kids so everybody's kids can be mine."

Dolly has released 42 albums throughout her lengthy career, her latest being Blue Smoke, which came out in January this year.

She's also made time for charitable ventures, such as the Imagination Library. It's a non-profit organisation the star set up to provide free books to preschoolers.

"I think kids relate to me because they think of me like a Mother Goose or a Fairy Godmother," she laughed. "I'm like a cartoon character ' my voice is little and I'm an excitable little person like them! I'm very childlike in that way, in my nature."

Dolly added that she is the "Book Lady" to the students she visits, rather than a superstar country singer.

The guy known as the Ukrainian prankster is at it again, this time at the Hollywood premiere of Maleficent, which stars Angelina Jolie.

According to Variety , "Witnesses saw the individual, later identified as celeb prankster Vitalii Sediuk, jump the security barriers while Pitt and Jolie were signing autographs in front of the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood. The man then approached Pitt on the red carpet, where he allegedly struck the 50 year-old actor in the face."

Bodyguards held the unfunny prankster until police came, took him away and booked him for misdemeanor battery. Brad bravely soldiered on and continued writing autographs.

Here is Vitalii being lead away:

Just two weeks ago, Vitalii, who is a TV presenter, crawled under the dress of America Ferrara during a Cannes premiere. He's also know for trying to kiss Will Smith, grab Leonardo DiCaprio, grope Bradley Cooper and interupt Adele at the Grammys.

The Jolie-Pitts brought their kids to the premiere and before the attack, Angelina said, "Well, oddly, we usually go to the El Capitan, that's where we take the kids. That's the closest theater to us. This is the first time they were able to come to mommy's premiere."

Katy Perry is Cosmopolitan Magazine's First "Global Icon"

Katy  Perry is set to make history as the first person to appear globally on the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine.

The pop star will continue her world domination on June 3rd, when the July issue of the magazine goes on sale, appearing on the front of all 62 editions of the magazine around the planet.

"Katy's music and attitude have universal appeal to young women everywhere," said Cosmo's editor-in-chief Joanna Coles in a statement. "She crosses all cultural boundaries. Her music is soulful and empowering in equal measure. She's the first Cosmo global icon."

Talk show host Chelsea Handler interviewed the "Dark Horse" singer for the issue, asking her candid questions about her personal life, such as whether or not she'd give love with John Mayer another chance and how long she's gone without sex.

The talk show hostess even got to the bottom of what Katy saw in Mayer and ex-husband Russell Brand, saying, "You were married to [Russell Brand]. Then you broke up and started dating John Mayer.

"These are two men that most people would say, 'If you're not going to date two people in this world, it should be these two.'"

Katy's response appears in the new issue of the magazine, which hits newsstands on June 3rd.

Katy Perry: 'Beyoncé is the Biggest Pop Star in the World

'Dark Horse' songstress Katy Perry has revealed that she doesn't feel comfortable with being given the pop queen crown and thinks that vocal powerhouse Beyoncé is the most deserving.

Speaking to London's Time Out magazine, the hitmaker explained that it's 'embarrassing' to be praised in such a way when there's a performer like Beyoncé in the same industry as her:

"It kind of embarrasses me because I don't feel that way. I have pinch-me moments, sure, but Beyoncé is the biggest pop star in the world so don't be blasphemous. I hope [I'm an empathetic pop star]. I work really hard; I work myself into this state. But Beyoncé's an icon and bionic, almost. I bet she doesn't get sick ever!"

Perry, meanwhile, is currently on the UK leg of her Prismatic tour and she will perform tonight at London's O2 Arena where she will also play 3 subsequent concerts on May 28, 30 and 31 respectively.

Katy Perry & Kacey Musgraves Talk Teaming Up, Tour Dates and "Seeing Each Other Naked"

In this week's Billboard cover story pop princess Katy Perry and country music darling Kacey Musgraves talk why the pairing makes sense, seeing each other naked, and cyberstalking.

"We're both very whimsical in our own ways, but I think at heart we're both songwriters," says Musgraves. For her part, Perry says she "instantly connected" with her country counterpart after hearing her debut single "Merry Go 'Round." "She struck a chord in me," she says. "I feel like we have the same eyes. Not in a physical sense, but in a way of perception."

After she heard "Merry Go 'Round" Perry did a little bit of ol' fashioned cyberstalking -- "as I do with everyone," she notes -- and reached out Musgraves about teaming up. The songs they worked on didn't make the cut on "Prism," but a partnership was born.

On seeing each other naked Musgraves said: "A couple times."
"And it won't be the last." They'll have plenty more chances for dressing-room exhibitionism when Kacey joins Katy's "Prismatic" tour in August.

Dolly Parton Wants Scarlett Johansson To Portray Her in Biopic

Dolly Parton thinks Scarlett Johansson could play her in a movie because she's "full bosomed".

The 68-year-old country singer has been in the music industry for decades and has also dipped her toe into acting over the years.

Giving hints about an upcoming biopic based on her, Dolly shared why she thinks Scarlett would make a good candidate.

"Well, you know what, I'm doing a musical of my life story - and I'm also doing a movie version!" she told People magazine. "When we started talking about a movie, people had mentioned Scarlett Johansson. I guess she's full bosomed."

Country singers have become more successful recently, with stars such as Carrie Underwood gaining worldwide recognition and rewarded at the Country Music Association Awards. Asked which young singer reminds her of herself, Dolly was quick to name two females she feels are on her level.

"Miranda Lambert," Dolly said. "I relate to her earthiness, just being a real woman. And I really admire Taylor Swift for her song writing and business sense."

Dolly looks as youthful as ever, still rocking her iconic blonde tresses. Although she is close to turning 70, she has no intention of looking her age.

"There's nothing I can do about the number, but I'll do everything I can to keep myself in working order," she laughed. "I'm going to do whatever little nip and tuck and collagen and Botox that I can do safely. But if you keep your spirit young, you look younger. And I don't have time to get old!"
