Chris Pine Loses New Zealand License After Pleading Guilty to DUI

Chris Pine lost his New Zealand license for six months on Monday after pleading guilty to drunk driving. He was also fined $79. Pine remained silent during the hearing. His lawyer, Marilyn Gilchrist, spoke on his behalf.

Pine was arrested for drunk driving on March 1. Police say his blood alcohol level was 0.11. The legal limit in New Zealand is .08. His arrest happened after he attended a party at Blue Pub in Methven with his girlfriend, Iris Bjork Johannesdottir. The party was held to celebrate the end of filming on his upcoming movie Z for Zachariah. The film also stars The Wolf of Wall Street’s Margot Robbie and 12 Years a Slave’s Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Pine most recently starred alongside Kevin Costner in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit. His upcoming films include Stretch, Into the Woods, and Horrible Bosses 2.
